  • Louise - Yay, so glad the stain remover worked. Will make a mental note incase I am ever in need.

FOS - Your stocking looks great. I LOVE the backing material. Very Festive.

Chicky - Nice update. Thanks for sharing.

It has been cold and wet here today. Hoped to get lots of stitching done but it has been one of those days where its just one thing after another. Hopefully tomorrow will be drier and quieter.

I have completed the stitching on another Christmas card and done a bit more more on the birth sampler.

Louise - that's really good news. So glad it's worked.

Off to bed now. Had spag bol. half a bottle of wine and some profiteroles - it was lovely.

On the 6.25 coach tomorrow to London. Having a very MSE break. Using my free tickets to the Ideal Home Expidition, return coach had cost £13 for the two of us and hotel with breakfast is £63. Looking forward to it. Off to bed now. Have a good Sunday all.

firefly - lovely update on sampler.

Ailsb - hope you have a lovely day.

Really frosty and cold this morning. Had a little bit of ironing to do which I've done just to get it out of the way. Might do a little bit of stitching before I pop down to see Mum.

Hope you all manage some stitchy time today.

    Good Morning Girls

Glad the stain remover worked for you Louise - maybe hubby should of used that instead of sticking the aida in the machine - bless.

Yay Louise - thats fab :j:beer::D

Reminds me of the time when I bought a top in the Debenh8mS sale - it had lipstick on it so I got it even cheaper than the sale price :money: BUT when I went to wash it - for some reason jeans ended up in the same wash and turned my lovely pinky purplely top a lovely shade of blue  I remember being so upset and ringing round all the other stores to see if they had it. They didn't :( I have no idea what happened to the top. I guess I binned it. :(

SO quick poll for this morning.
due a food shop to be delivered today but have since discovered that the brandy my OH requested I ordered is cheaper at my local convenience store from tomorrow. I've ordered a litre bottle which is costing £28  (on offer price:eek:) but the local shop is selling 70cl for £18.49 (this works out at £26.41 a litre).

So - I am in two minds whether to send the brandy that will be delivered today back with the delivery driver? the price difference isn't too much albeit a saving nonetheless BUT I've put my clubc*rd vouchers towards the brandy so in effect I'm getting it for free. (I'm not really but it feels like I am and i know I could probably get better value for my vouchers but putting it towards my xmas booze works for me!)

What would you do? I will feel a bit of twit sending it back - I know I shouldn't....
  • flat eric - men are rubish at doing the online shop - they always order the wrong brands.......................if you know what I mean ;):D
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Spent last night on the sofa with my stitching and a film on the box - Manchurian Candidate (odd film - didn't really get it). Have decided that I don't really like spending my saturday nights enjoying a drink or two - (1) because it makes me sleepy and (2) means I can't concentrate on my stitching and (3) I feel a bit rubbish today even though I didn't drink that much.

Intend to retire to the sofa shortly with my stitching again and catch up on the rubbish tv I've recorded this week. :j

In the meantime, I thought I would ask everyone what they wanted for xmas? I can never make up my mind and think the stock answer this year is going to be ama$on vouchers or vouchers for sew and so (not that I need any more stitchy stash!).
