  • owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww I have roast dinner eyes.

The oven DEFIANTLY needs a clean now!!! that'll be tomorrows job then.

If you've never used them the roasting bags* are FANTASTIC for chickens (and I would assume other meats). although because you add flour to the bag to soak all the oil up it means that although you get a golden skin its not crispy/ edible.
The chicken just falls off the bones tho and tastes lush.

Unfortunatly it was the roasties (tried them in the bag and had to finish in the fryer as they weren't cooking) and the h/m yorkies that sprayed oil everywhere. well it wouldn't be sunday without the smoke alarms going off would it??!!

**not shopped around yet for best price as I still have 2 left from the original pack I bought **

All I would like is some perfume (as I have run out nearly) and some slipppers as the ones I have got holes in them.

Don't have have our tree up - not had one up for a couple of years as Sam would just drag it down. Might put up some lights in the window.

Perfect roasts mmmmm. I have been cheating with roasts by making what nigella calls roastinys. Fried nochi (italian potato dumplings). They are quite nice and only 66p for a pack in A$da and it does us twice.

Glad to be home work was so tough going - glad tomorrow will be a normal work day. Then on I am off for two days at end of week. Hubby is American so I make a wee thanksgiving dinner for him - turkey (loads of trimmings) and pumpkin pie.

Still got to sort Avon stuff out - might do it when I am off - still gives people more than a week to look at it before Christmas orders have to be in. Making up a wee order pack - newsletter with the major offers in it, an order form and a free tea bag. The tea bag - well they can have a cup of tea while they browse the book.

Looks like it will be cold again - so wrap up warm and cuddle into someone nice - but not my hubby hes mine lol.

    Kind wishes to all

sweetcarer, my first thought for your avon campaign is perhaps setting up a facebook group for it? that way, customers can be prompted about when you are dropping brochures off/coming to collect and perhaps to post about "heads up" on special deals coming up in the brochure, those spend so much, get this item free or for so many pounds promotions.

Chicky they say you should test your smoke alarm weekly :rotfl: I keep thinking my oven needs a clean everytime I open it but I haven't got round to it yet !! my roast beef turned out ok - bit disappointed with the roasties but they were crispy (how I like them) just wish I could stop overboiling them so they go mushy ! OH is watching the Rolling Stones documentary so catching up on here then may do some stitching.
  • ohhh this kit is driving me up the wall now.......... thank f it's bedtime (just as soon as I've finshed watching The Smurfs).
First I ran out of one colour with 6 stitches to go then I run out of another with about 20 to go. yet some I have a whole 6 strand set unused!! In fact have just discovered one of the colours isn't even ON the chart so looks like they have a bog standard amount........... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

  • thanks mrs MP. Dozy me decided to cheat and fold it in half.............. then realised the back is now upside down lol.

thanks sweetcarer - but they typically don't have any numbers rolleye0001.gif so I substituted the grey for a similar one in the threads that came with and I am sure I have white floating around. :D
    I WILL finish it tonight.

    Hiya everyone,

I just come across this forum and was happy to find it.:j I love to cross stitch and have been doing it for only half a year now.:)

I think that you are all talented cross stitcher by looking at the work you have posted.

Has anyone used this website - Cross stitch Heaven?

What did you think about it? I'm thinking about getting some threads as they seem cheaper than other places I've looked at.......

    Thank you :)
  • Hi stitcher, never used them myself sorry :( lots of us get our threads from across town stitching. If you buy in bulk they are very well priced hth
