    Oh no Louise! :(

You could also try using rubbing alcohol if you have any. Dab the stain with cotton wool soaked in it (cotton buds would be fab) and see if the stain comes away onto the cotton wool.

Really hope you can sort it, if none of these suggestions work I'll google some more! xx

well I've had a day of actually not doing very much... haven't dug the cross stitch out yet!

Louise oh :(don't know if this will make you feel any better but I can't see any marks on the aida.:o
    so :(:(:( for you though

what does everyone have planned for this evening/plan to watch on the tv?? OH did mention about going out but we haven't planned anything or booked anywhere for food and actually I'm quite happy staying in, warm and cosy with my cross stitch :T
  • Well, clean up day one is finished...Managed to get the bathroom spotless (tiny room and yet took an hour !!) and our bedroom. Although our bedroom took about two hours as well, but it was a really deep clean, under the cot and bed and skirtings...everything...

Jaxon is out tomorrow with my cousin, She is taking him at midday and normally doesn't bring him back until eleven or twelve at night, so hopefully get the living room and kitchen sorted out then. Hubby goes to work from 7pm to 9pm tomorrow so I can get ebay stuff sorted while he is away, and then Monday will be a stitching and Tree going up day....xx
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)

chicky - can't help with the beef sorry. I've cooked a joint of lamb in the slow cooker and then finished it off in the oven and it was lovely and moist and tender. Just put in the cooker with a small amount of water and cooked it on low for 8 hours.

Your stocking picture looks really cute and the backstitching is bringing it to life.

Louise - I know it doesn't help but I can't see the marks on the picture. I hope that the lemon or alcohol gets the marks out. You must feel awful after putting so much hard work in. Is there any way you could stitch over the lines in either a contrasting colour so that it looks as if the material is supposed to have squares in it or could you stitch over the lines with white to cover them up. Probably wont work but just a thought.

Flowers - your stocking looks great and you've finished it really quickly.

Working as Poll Clerk on Thursday was ok, we were the busiest of the stations on our ward but still very slow. We only had about 5% turn out but averaged 12 people an hour. There were 4 of us working so we spent most of the day chatting. I did knit just over half a scarf and also I've nearly finished the Bethlehem hanging, only need to stitch the beads on now and put it on the hanger. Will definately be finished by 12.12.12.

Thank you, but the fabric was still wet when I took the photo - unfortunately when it dried it's even more obvious :(

I bought stain remover when I was out - have used that and it's currently in the washing machine again so fingers crossed!

Stitching over them wouldn't work because the main area is the big empty space where the wording is.

On a brighter note - Flat_Eric....we have just finished steak pie and chips and everyone is watching Ant Bully - once the kids go to bed hubby, eldest and I will watch Merlin. I may stitch, or I will do some craft fayre stuff - I got choc raisins today to make bags of 'reindeer poop' lol

  • fos - lovely stocking :T

Louise - hope stain remover has done the trick (fingers crossed).

FE - we've had homemade lasagne, oven chips and sweetcorn. No dessert but I could just murder a big sloshy cream cake or a bloomin big bar of choccy :o. Settling down now to catch up with Strictly followed by XFactor. I have decided to give the jungle a miss this time but I am a fan of Ant and Dec.

Decided to make up cards today and done a bit of MP Cottage this afternoon.

    Enjoy the weekend everyone

    omgomg it worked!!:j:j:j

All hail UNIVERSAL STAIN REMOVER, £2 from Tesco!:T:T:T (and a 60 degree wash afterwards - I thought, it's already ruined, might as well give it a bash) :o

Can't believe it, there was a small patch which I musn't have sprayed as much and still shows up but I've resprayed it and it should come out. Amazing stuff.

I feel so much better now :o
