Cross Stitch Cafe - stitching out of 2012 and into 2013...

I have totally lost my bug.
Don't remember if I mentioned it or not, but my window was broken about two months (middle of the night, but think it was an accident. We found 10p on the windowsill so think someone has tossed a coin and it broke it) and we have had a piece of wood over it as it was £90 to get it fixed. From that happened I just can't seemed to get motivated to do anything. The flat seems to be a mess and toys and stuff everywhere.
Anyway, window got fixed today and since hubby is working again we are getting Sky put back on on Monday, so decided this weekend is going to be spent gutting the place. Sorting out toys, and either Freecycling or selling some of them. Then whenever Sky goes on (and hubby goes to work...lol) I will spend Monday night putting the tree up.
So Tuesday will hopefully be spent stitching. I don't know, maybe it is just me, but can the rest of you stitch when you know you should be cleaning....xx;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
Hello Girls
Hope you are all where ever you are.
Been very busy here - was working late last night and I will be working all weekend. One of the managers was supposed to be doing some set up stuff for systems - so senior manager asked him about it - turned out he has just been bluffing and made a right mess of what little he has done. So the upshot is that I will have to try and set it all up - with the senior managers help this weekend.
So I won't be able to set up my Avon stuff but it will get down going to delegate hubby to do it. Work put a downer on it. I am not allowed to take any books into the work place - I can leave them in the canteen area. Also my senior manager says he can't understand why I am doing it as I will only earn pennies. But pennies is better than nothing.
Have done a wee bit on purple work - will post pictures later. Also I am nearly completed the first of my blue samplers - the one I do at work in my lunch. The work camera is no longer compatible with my computer (work computer - we can't use our usb drives anymore), there is one computer I can use but it is one of the managers but have to find a time I can use it.
Well off to check on facebook and an early night seeing as I am not going to get my long lie this weekend.
Keep well and warm

My grandma always said "look after the pennies & the pounds will take care of themselves".
Also, on the plus side, you'll be meeting new people, getting & out about in your local area getting fresh air & exercise and you get to admire all the Christmas decorations in people's gardens/windows.
Looking forward to seeing purplework update.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
12/12/12 challenge-[STRIKE]Season's Greeting Newton's Law[/STRIKE] Christmas polar bear-finished on time!
Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
Well I survived
No tears this time, just a minor panic attack after one of the injections. Not sure if that's an improvement or not :rotfl:
Was in the chair for 2 hours  apparently my tooth has curvy roots so it took longer. Anaesthetic starting to wear off now so am feeling a bit sore
Thank goodness it's over... til January lol
Now time to get on with the stitching
FOS - Thanks for the link
Chicky - only 5 weeks?!! Cripes, better get a move on!
Caroline - Don't worry, we all lose the bug from time to time, it'll be back
I just got an email through from Hobbycraft, 5 quid off a 25 quid spend this weekend. That's 20% off, so not a bad deal. If anyone wants me to forward the email just drop me a PM. I'm going to go tomorrow, see if I can get any good deals on kits. Also need a couple of other bits so it should be worthwhile
And I'm sure I deserve a treat after my dentist trauma!

I have only had chance to have a quick catch up this evening so only half read recent posts - will catch up properly tomorrow. :j
anyone see on the competitions board about this OOPS !
one comment I read - can't remember where - suggested it might have been deliberate - free publicity and all that and 9,000 customers in their stores with £10 b00ts to spend....
did see the ted baker set (the better than half price deal) looked quite nice. kind of tempted but don't need it reallysuppose I would rather spend the pennies on stitchy stash (which I don't need either)!
Ummm unsure what to do this weekend. noted the posts about the xmas card exchange. better get a shifty on....
Mine is done apart from the back stitch !
I would definitely like to do some stitching this weekend whether it be xmas stitchy card exchange or something else. It has been such a busy week that I haven't managed anyand I miss it. I'm too tired to do any this evening. I'm in that mood where I don't know what to with myself other than bed and sleep but its too early. hope to last until at least 10pm zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I am tempted/would like to go into town tomorrow but bus pass ran out today so reluctant to pay when my pass starts again on Monday and I can go in for free (well not free as already paid for ticket upfront) but not paying extra.also its going to be busy and I don't like crowds (it was hectic 2 weeks ago!)
undecided about sunday. OH is partaking in a run and I might go and support him or I might stay home and stitch ! not sure ?0 -

Wicked was brilliant! Such a good show & the cast were very good about signing autographs afterwards at the stage door. I have some good news which might interest you...next year, Wicked is going on tour! http://www.wickedthemusical.co.uk/readnews.asp?id=78wkd
It's only just been announced, so not much to report yet, but keep an eye on the website. Hopefully they'll come near you & you can see it.
GILT is Get Into London Theatre. As London is obviously too far for you to get to, it's probably not much use to you, but they run some very good offers. January and February tends to be quiet for theatres, so they run this promo to boost tickets sales. We've seen a few shows through the offer-We Will Rock You, Rock Of Ages, Shrek, and a couple of others in the past 3 years.
Chicky-That does look better. You're not far off finishing it by the look of it. Who is it for again? Bit late for my brain to work.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
