All I've done today is stitch a ribbon onto each of the kiddies patchwork quilts. Then threaded the ribbon through a button and tied in a fancy bow. Then I've used that to fasten in their mini stitchies: DS little tiger and DD mini copy of her comfort blankie.

I decided to do the ribbon as I thought it would be easier than trying to tightly stitch a button without going right through the quilt tithe other side. But it looks quite fancy too. I used those skinny ribbons they put in tops to hold them on the hangers :D

Last night I did a couple of felt mini Xmas stockings for the tree. I bought more felt but can't remember where I put it...

Not long got home from seeing Wicked in London. It was hubby's birthday (technically yesterday) & he loves that show, so we went for a meal, then the show, then hung around by the stage door to get autographs from the cast. We very rarely do this, but DH bought the Grimmerie book, so thought it would be good to get it signed.
Haven't had chance to do anything stitching in days. Mum's been staying the last couple of nights, so too busy chatting. Although I did show her some bits I've finished & it made me realise I need to get some Christmas ones ironed & framed up.
Anyway, bed time now. Night all! Zzzzz...

Skobie, I used to play my brother's playstation someties. I can't remember the name of the game but it involved driving round and lots of shooting. Mr brother used to get very amused at how rubbish I was at it!!

Yes that sounds familiar! I remember one occasion OH talking me into playing a zombie shooter game. At one point I was the only one left alive and was trying to get to the others to revive them. The other people in our team where talking to OH and were getting quite stressed cause I couldn't do it and OH was sticking up for me and shouting at them it wasn't my fault, :rotfl: I couldn't get to them cause one of them had died in front of the door and I couldn't open it :D

Everyone is quiet tonight...busy stitching or is life getting in the way? :)

Life getting in the way here, as it has all week! Went out for a nice meal with family for OHs birthday and then to the pub for a drink. The cake went down very well :o Am so glad he liked it!

Oh I love Wicked! I'd love to go again, not very MSE to go twice though. And don't think my OH would appreciate going for his birthday, he's not a musical fan. Funny how our OHs have the same birthday :D

I've got the other half of my root canal later this afternoon, wish me luck :( Foot is much better though so that's something

Can't wait to get the dentist out of the way and for it to be the weekend! Am going to relax and do as little as possible apart from some serious stitching/crafting, it's getting awfully close to Christmas now! This week's been crazy busy, I am feeling the need to put my feet up!

I've also put on the list some Anchor threads off Ebay, as DMC seem a bit dearer to buy in bulk. (Right now I only have threads from the market:o)

Love your early stitching, especially the bright colours in the hot air balloon.

I don't know how the ebay thread prices compare to across town stitching but ATS is the cheapest place I know at the moment for thread. ATS charge 40p per skein but buying in bulk is slightly cheaper.
P+P charges aren't too bad at £1 for orders up to £3, £1.50 up to £20 and free for orders over £20 and the customer service is brilliant.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

Off topic but may help someone. If anyone is collecting the Morrisons Christmas saver coupons, I have a week 3 voucher that is yours in exchange for an SAE. PM me and it's yours. I have been this morning for a change to Mr T but won't be going again!!! Store was manic, car park crazy and prices high I thought.

Hope to get some stitching in later but trying to compile a list of what I have to do and by when!!

    Regards

Have you considered buying a cone of black DMC if you need a lot for your HAED project - it will probably last you a lifetime. I over 1 can be challenging though with a good magnifier and lamp it can be done. I've got a sample piece of the 25 count magic grid evenweave which I would be happy to send to you (it's the same as sweetcarer mentioned so only small)

Thanks for the suggestion FOS, that's a great idea! Any idea where I might buy one of these?

And thanks for the offer of the magic grid evenweave to test. I'm verging towards just buying regular and marking it myself as I think I'll get confused with the magic grid being every 20 threads instead of every 10... decisions decisions...

I'm not being very productive this afternoon, am so exhausted after this busy week that I'm running out of steam. Not helped by the butterflies that have set in RE visit to dentist :(

I can't wait until it's about 4.30 and work is over and dentist is over and I can just head home and relax. :o

Only 3 and a half hours til then, I can do it!!

eeeek only 5 weeks to go...................and praying I don't need to go shopping again. My little town (sub town of the city) was crazy.....and it's a Friday would hate to see it at the weekends now,

Is it 1st December we post our cards?? (I know I have the PM as an e-mail somewhere as silly me deleted the PM....DOH)

I cannot stand the fighting games and zombie games and car chase games - lego batman I am getting quite addicted to tho. Although DS1's obsession with it is getting a bit tooo much when (at 4yr old) walking home he's saying " i think when we get in I need to put my game on and do that next level cause i didn't complete it yet and I MUST do it now".
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
