I was actually pricing up the fabric for my HAED I'm going to start after Christmas  to those who've done one, or are doing; Is anyone stitching over 1 on 25ct like they suggest? I'm thinking about trying it... I must be mad
1 on 25ct on a massive project like an HAED - would I heck as like!!:rotfl: I would never finish it and it would drive me crazy (and quite possibly blind!):o
I have stitched my 2 (and 3 quarters of a third) HAED's on 14ct...I just take an extra step back when looking at it to get the effect:rotfl:

sweetcarer - have you seen the designated avon thread on here ??? I've bought avon in the past - will have a think and let you know if I have any thoughts from a customer's point of view.
I found the thread earlier today in my lunch break - so will have a nose in there and thank you for helping with some advice - look forward to hearing what you have to say.

Have you seen this - 25hpi magic guide evenweave? Might help you -
http://www.cross-stitch-heaven.co.uk/25ct-evenweave-dmc---magic-guide---white-4470-p.asp
I got a wee sample piece a while back so might try it instead of 28hpi for a project I have in mind - the piece is only about 2x3 inch. So will do a wee section to see.
I know the lady who owns cross stitch heaven uses 25hpi for her heaven & earth projects.
Hope you feel better soon chicky!
Anyone watching Hollyoaks - its quite dramatic - nearly in tears.
Kind wishes to all
sweetcarer:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j0 -
thanks **sniff** all **spluttter**. somethings telling me I'll be off work tomorrow after all.
on the plus side it means I've been able to hide and do some stitching.
shhhhhh - I'm only up to Fridays E4 hollyoaks episode (the last 3 nights are sky +ed for a COD free night (yup I'm a modern warfare widow at the moment....relegated to the bedroom.......anyone else??)............although i read the spolier a few weeks ago lol so i know what happens but not who is involved or the outcome.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Louise - hope this means you get some stitchy time while you recuperate and that you aren't in too much pain. Love your fayre crafty bits btw.
ejs - I just love the smell of christmas cake baking - don't forget to pass it around in the Cafe with a cuppa mind you
nmm - lovely BD update. Fingers crossed Tikaani is over her health problems.
23rd -<<<hugs>>> perhaps its time to draw a line under that friendship and move on. Sounds as though you have plenty of other things to keep you well and truly occupied. Has Dad got a date for his op?
sweetcarer - how sweet of hubby re aida. Looking forward to seeing your other blackwork projects. I think I have already wished you good luck with Avon - don't forget to let us know how you get on.
chicky - <<hugs>> hope you feel better soon.
sk00bie - looking forward to seeing Peace hanging.
No stitching done here today but I did bring the fabric downstairs for MP Cottage - does this count as progress. Found a winter coat in M$S which I quite liked - decided to wait til I got home to check for any discount codes or reductions in sale (started online tonight) but I just know it will stay at full price and I will leave in too late and wont be able to get it either right size/colour later. Fingers crossed they might have a 20% off womenswear sooner rather than later.
Take care everyone

Quick update with pics to share. I might have posted this one before, but these are some of the tree hangers and a luggage tag that I've stitched as gifts. Got 2 more hangers to do still.
Here's my progress pic of my 10/11/12 to 11/12/13 christmas sampler. There's much more detail than I was expecting, so I'm not as far along as I'd hoped after 3 days of stitching.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Aww...thank you. Did you just look at the cross stitch album? I have some more pics in a UFO album and somewhere there are photos of the latch hook rugs I've done. I really enjoy stitching Meery Christmas. Such a cute design. I change my mind all the time about my favourite. I love Titanic, but the Flowers of the year is very special to me, too.I love your snowflakes, where did you find them? :T:T:T
They were in Boots last year. With the photo stuff. Bought them in the 75% off sale, so very cheap. Also bought a snow globe, although I'm not sure if it'll fit a cross stitch or not. Search 'shot2Go' to see what they've got this year.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
