Hugs Emma xxxxx men so know how to say the wrong things sometimes. Grrrrrr

so woke about 1am this morning thinking it was time to get up ..... we have been getting visits from a cat that has been coming and eating our cat's food but we have moved this to upstairs ??? - now i suspect the cat is using our sofa to sleep. Anyhow. cat wars ensued at 1am with said stranger cat banging out of our cat flap knocking it off its hinges. resulting in me trying to reattach at stupid o clock - half sleep and minus my glasses. Then it took me ages to get back to sleep so I feel tired this morning :(

didn't manage any stitching of my colour swatch last night - did start to stitch a number but didn't look right so unpicked. I'm not keen on splitting the aida. Think I can stitch all numbers without doing this - although not sure on the number 6.

The reason I'm stitching it is because it is something that is quick and easy to do - as in the boxes stitch up quickly and it will enable me to see just how many dmc threads I do have. So I get my cross stitch fix but get something useful out of it at the same time.

re dentist that you have been talking about, toothache has been the worst pain I have known (along with ear ache many many years ago) so I suppose I associate the two and dread going. Sometimes I wonder whether I would rather be going to the doc for my smear test.... when I'm sat in the dentist's waiting room and vice versa when I'm sat in the docs waiting room for my smear!!

Hope everyone has a good day. :j

Snap - hope your scan went well - in the end in came round quite quite only feels like yesterday you were telling us you were going.

Well I had a productive day but none of cross stitch related.

Had a days leave as I had the hospital and so did hubby. Hubbys appointment got cancelled at last minute - grrrrr will have to take another half days leave for the replacement.

Seeing it was days leave I had and our hospital appointment weren't till after noon I had an appointment with Avon and thus I am now a rep. So anyone fancy anything let me know and I can try and help. Will be putting an online version of the brochure on my facebook page. Will sort it all out over the weekend.

Looking forward to tonight into relaxing and doing some purple work and getting myself ready for back to work tomorrow.

Hope everyone is ok where ever you are

    sweetcarer ;)

How frustrating about the cancelled appointment but it sounds as though they may have done you a favour as the Avon job should be good though I hope you aren't taking on too much with working full time as well

    Evening all.

Why does my DH know just how to make me feel like I am just a slave in this house!?!?!?!? He's forever throwing at me that he goes to work - like I sit on my backside all day!!! I barely have time to drink a cuppa without being pulled or sat on by the little ones. EVeryone says I need to shut up and get on with it but that's not so easy sometimes. Oh well, he can watch me sew some more of Jemima tonight and lump it!!

Hugs to those who need them and catch up with you tomorrow

    Emma

I would never say "shut up and get on with it" - this is the 21st Century not the 18th. In fact I'd say the opposite is true - talking about how you both feel should be more productive. Could you persuade your DH to take a couple of days' holiday and try it for himself while you stay with a friend? You know what it's like to work full time but he can't know what your days are like unless he has experienced them. Young children are as exhausting as they are wonderful. Feel free to ignore my comments - just trying to be sympathetic because I do know how you feel

  • Westie alert!

For those interested in cushion kits or charts of Westies BlackSheep Wools have an additional 10% off their usual discounted prices across the whole site for 24 hours. So some of the kits and charts that were discussed here are a bit cheaper than they were.

  • fos - stitch upon a star is lovely. You've made a good start on 12 days.

My Boofle (12.12.12) is coming along really well (it's just a lickle one). MP Cottage 20.12.2012 has yet to be started - again its just a small project. Then there is MS 12 Days (10.11.12 - 11.12.13) - well I have cut the fabric - hope this counts as starting :p).

DH commented yesterday that we needed something on the walls of the refurbished bedroom - he's obviously forgotten about UFO Sleeping Beauty :o - either that or he was giving me gentle reminder that it was still unfinished - think I was part way through page 2 and there will be about another 6. Will get her back out after all the xmas !!!! has been put away - promise.

    Have a good day everyone

    Morning ladies.

Catwoman. Nice update, it's coming along great.

Ellie. Glad all went ok with the scan.

FOS. Stitch upon a star is lovely. Love the sparkly fabric you're using for Stitchers 12 days.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
