Hello everybody! :hello: Hope everyone is well.

Have been AWOL a while as been so busy the last 2 weeks had no time for stitching or computer! Last 2 weeks have looked like: cat to vet, parents visit, husband birthday, in-laws visit, cat back to vet, job interview, friends weekend visit. and today- doctors for me and back to the vet! Phew! Busy busy. Oh, and now I'm coming down with a cold! ill-violated-dead-smiley-9437.gif

Harold has had 3 teeth out at he vet and is recovering although he is back to vets tonight for a check up. Sadly he may have an auto-immune disease which make his body attack his teeth so we may have to have them all out to save him all the pain (cats can survive with out teeth as long as they have wet, soft food. No biscuits) Hopefully, he hasn't got that or he will be a poor gummy cat :(

And on the job front- I got a new job! £5.5k a year pay rise- more hours, more responsibility but better money, halved travel costs, pension, staff discount (it's for A$DA, going to manage an optical department) and ..i should get paid every month!:D

Hopefully going to get back into Noahs Ark tonight or this afternoon... Need to get a wiggle on if I'm going to have a hope of getting it finished for Christmas! :o

    Hi ladies.

Sweetcarer. Purplework is coming along brilliantly, I really like it!

Pennib. Love the box, I need one! :D

Ailsb. Sounds like you had a lovely day out and got some bargains too :T

Laura. Congrats on the new job!

As for me. I got some stitching time yesterday while MotoGP was on.

    Here's a latest update.

  • Hi again, sorry I've been AWOL. I kept up to page 89 then you all chatted too fast and I couldn't keep up!

I finished my project yesterday but dated it 10-11-12 anyway. I'll have to remember how to post pictures then I'll show you. It's a Lizzie Kate alphabet but I chose colours out of my stash rather than using the ones it said.
I'm not quite decided on my next project yet but it'll probably be the dictionary of homes. Before I do that I've got to finish a crochet project that I've been commissioned to do. £15 for 4 hours work may not be brilliant but I can watch tv and do it in the evenings so I'm not complaining.

Today is scan day so I'm hungry having not been allowed to eat since last night. It'll all be over soon though and hopefully I'll find out what's been causing my weird symptoms.

Sorry I haven't had time to catch up on the last 10 pages but the pictures I've seen look amazing, well done all.
Laura - your new job sounds great, I hope you settle in quickly and enjoy it.

  • Good afternoon stitchers.

My weekend was a tale of 2 halves. On the stitchy front I managed to finish Stitch a Star on Saturday so have added the date and also made a start on my 10 11 12 to 11 12 13 project (Stitcher's 12 Days of Christmas) which I then continued stitching on Sunday. I love it and am really going to enjoy this project :D On the non stitching front my internet connection kept dropping so it was almost impossible to do anything online  I managed to read most of the posts but couldn't reply and more importantly didn't complete all the Christmas shopping I had planned to do.
Photos will follow but didn't bother getting out the camera as I knew I wouldn't be able to upload to Flickr.

Loving all the updates and photos.

bossymoo and brednall Thinking of you both - it must be really difficult for you both

skoobie Sorry you had such a bad time at the dentist. Interesting to read how many people have a phobia of dentists.
Love your finished ornaments, door hanger and absolutely adore the 2 little bird ornaments

sweetcarer Purplework is looking very good. Thanks for the links to DMC shade cards.

I noticed recently that there are now 60 shades of Colour Variations available in USA but still only 36 here :(

casper Looking forward to seeing your progress on Matt Smith

ailsb Loved reading your "report" on the exhibition. Hope it wasn't that which gave you the migraine.
How frustrating that the piece of fabric isn't big enough but good job you checked before starting to stitch . What design is it?

    shelly Lovely update

elliep Hope the scan goes well

Sorry if I have missed anyone
