    elliep hope scan went well

Snap - hope your scan went well - in the end in came round quite quite only feels like yesterday you were telling us you were going.

Well I had a productive day but none of cross stitch related.

Had a days leave as I had the hospital and so did hubby. Hubbys appointment got cancelled at last minute - grrrrr will have to take another half days leave for the replacement.

Seeing it was days leave I had and our hospital appointment weren't till after noon I had an appointment with Avon and thus I am now a rep. So anyone fancy anything let me know and I can try and help. Will be putting an online version of the brochure on my facebook page. Will sort it all out over the weekend.

Looking forward to tonight into relaxing and doing some purple work and getting myself ready for back to work tomorrow.

Hope everyone is ok where ever you are

    sweetcarer ;)
:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j
  • Righty-ho I'm back and I think I've caught up - sorry for not mentioning all individually - it's taken me about an hour as kids refused to go to bed and I've been in and out their room every 5 minutes. Plus (in typical monday return from holiday style- hubby has STILL gone to the pub) and I'm full of cold and feeling shocking.

despite them not going to bed until 10/11pm for the last 4 nights they have STILL woken about 7.30am. Except for this morning when they slept until nearly 8 but becuase my hubby was awake he seemed to think I wanted to be too and wondered why he got the cold shoulder most of the morning.

I have had SOOOO much take out (we stayed in a travelodge every night so brekkie/ lunch and tea were all eat out) so I seriously MUST start dieting this week until Christmas.

But hey usmums must fight on.

    everyone's projects are FAB.

Ruth_honey hope you are feeling better now.
eliep hope the scan went ok (sorry if you've facebooked and I've missed it).
flat eric, *louise* and sweetcarer thank you for doing the leg work on the DMC chart. Think I may make it a 2013 project.

Pfff .... .... been browsing online for running bits as my OH enjoys his running and thought I would get a few running tops (sale items :money:) ordered for :xmastree:
anyhow OH has turned round as spotted what I had on my computer and commented that he wants to be able to pick his presents. except he won't, he never gives me any ideas

I'd tell him to stuff that as it's not in the spirit of christmas and put some money in a card.
could you make him a running 'stocking' of little bits?

pffff just seen sew n so ran a competition today - spend over £20, order by 4pm, get put in a draw to get your order for free. #annoyed

I saw on facebook today people had been really rude to them about this. They said it was a trial run (hence the 4pm) and as it had such a good response they will do it morefrequently.
"So sorry to everyone who felt this competition was unfair with a cut-off point of 4pm.... We were trialling the offer for the first time, low key, to see if it works, and it does. Look out this Thursday, when we will be promoting the same offer for the whole of the weekend, with more winners this time."

ok I'm off to stitch some Boofle as I got none done at all on hols.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

    Evening all.

Why does my DH know just how to make me feel like I am just a slave in this house!?!?!?!? He's forever throwing at me that he goes to work - like I sit on my backside all day!!! I barely have time to drink a cuppa without being pulled or sat on by the little ones. EVeryone says I need to shut up and get on with it but that's not so easy sometimes. Oh well, he can watch me sew some more of Jemima tonight and lump it!!

Hugs to those who need them and catch up with you tomorrow

  • Emma my hubby used to be like that, I really feel for you.
He soon learnt when he had a day of work and saw exactly how I spend my days and actually told my eldest of the other day (he is 8) for a comment about how all I do all day is watch tv! If only ! I have a new rule im my house 'if it ain't done by 6 I ain't doing it' from 6 till I go to bed is my time to do what I want, maybe you could do this to or you never get time to do anything for yourself.

Hugs to you, and come here and tell us when he is getting to you, it really helps

  • blue_eyed_girl No, there was only a small selection of kits that were half price. The ones that I liked I already have in my stash. I did see a lovely kit, it wasnt in the half price sale though :( and it was £60  they did have two kits that I already have at half price :(

  • Thanks for the good wishes everyone. The scan went fine and I'm now enjoying being allowed to eat and toilet when I want! It'll be another week before I get the results of the scan so I have to just keep waiting for now. I feel happier knowing it's progressing and I'm hopefully getting closer to a diagnosis.
(Chicky - you didn't miss it on FB as I didn't put it on there, still not common knowledge to my friends. Not until I know what I'm dealing with.)

Did anyone go to the NEC craft fair? I ordered a ticket through Mr T but never went in the end. Did I miss out?

Emma - sorry to hear that you and OH are still struggling. I hope that you manage to sort things out soon.

Catwoman - that looks like a very impressive large project on black fabric! It's coming along nicely though and I'm sure it'll be spectacular.

Thanks for the comments ladies! My tooth feels much better now, although I'm not looking forward to Friday!

    Loving all your pictures :)

FOS - I knew you'd like the bird! The pics were two sides of the same ornament, Merry Little Bird from LK. This one! although I'm sure I didn't pay that much for it
I used WDW hand-dyed threads but the chart also lists DMC/anchor conversions. It was a bit of a challenge as the bird is made up and the fabric is folded you have to 'sew' not stab to stitch the design. I really enjoyed stitching it, it was a nice quick project.

Elliep - glad the scan went well

FE, Chicky & Louise - Interesting to follow your DMC colours project. It's not something I would do personally (although I might buy the bag :D ) but I'll be following your progress, I admire your patience!

Emma - We're always here if you need to get stuff off your chest, hugs to you. My OH has been know to make a comment about how messy it is or something, while sitting in front of the TV on his Xbox! I tell him nothing's stopping him from helping out, then I get the 'well I work' card played. Although when I start listing all that I do, as well as working full time he soon shuts up. Thinking about it he has started to so the washing up every so often so maybe I'm start to get through to him.

Tonight I've finally managed a few stitches on the Angel, will post a pic tomorrow.

Off to bed now, hugs and sweet dreams all :)

  • sweetcarer - good luck with Avon :)

Emma - you know where we are when you want to 'sound off'.

elliep - glad scan went well

catwoman - £60 for a kit  - it would have to be very special at that sort of price. The colours on your piccy look lovely.

Had intended to make a start on MP Cottage tonight but I just couldn't be bothered - just felt restless and tired tonight. Should really take myself up to bed as its a busy day tomorrow but I can't even be bothered to do that :(.

How is everyone's xmas stitchings coming along?

    Take care everyone
