  • gotta love a good argument(esp when you aren't feeling great).
Little Star have eventually acknowledged my complaint. Apparently would have sent me the threads if I told them I'd run out (here's an idea supply enough in the first place). THEN told me the holes were due to ME making the tension too tight and 'helpfully' showed me how to stitch it properly. I pointed out I'd been stitching 6 years and never has the problem so doubt very much it was me and when stitching with just 1 strand (as instructed) it's near on impossible to pull it 'too tight'.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Ouch :( earache is horrible chicky hope you feel better soon.
    hugs xxx
  • <<<hugs>>> chicky - hope the antibiotics kick in soon. Bacon sarnies and stitching definitely recommended for taking your mind off the pain.

Wet miserable day here. Trying to catch up on some chores and I might be able to squeeze in a few stitches before I'm off out to the gym.

    Take care everyone

  • Sorry I haven't updated in so long :o Really sorry this post is extemely long!

Louise, love your choc decorations. Much nicer than those you can buy from the shops plus you can change the choc's too :T
Sweetcarer, that swatch bag is quite nice, but again have no idea how I would use it. I prefer kits/charts so swatch matching isn't of use to me. Your purple work is coming alone really well!
Mag's, great update on your HAED even though it looks like a huge task I think the end result will look amazing!
Georgia, welcome, lovely stitching of cats you are doing there. Can't wait for the update.
Bossymoo, love your tiger mini stitch, very cute :D
Casper, welcome to the cafe, good luck with your Matt Smith stitch.
Skoobie, love your mill hill ornament, especially the blue bauble. The merry little bird is nice too :D Blackwork angel is fab!
BEG, that project 10/11/12 is extremely cute, the sequins on the tree are really nice.
    Shelly,
your cat is coming on really nicely. Is there much confetti stitching on it?
Catwomen, great update, you can really see all the colours on the black fabric.
FOS, great start on your 10/11/12 to 11/12/13 :T How big is the overall design? Love the finished stocking, that fabric is very, very nice!
NMM, your BD is getting there, its a greyscale which I love :D
Ruth, the green on your 10/11/12 to 11/12/13 christmas sampler is my fave colour so far. Looks very detailed to me but is very nice :)
Dragonfly, lovely stitches really like the rabbit with the flower.
Firefly, great to see a bit more of your birth sampler, you can certainly see all the shading on the 'moon' now.
Chicky, glad to see your christmas stocking finished. I am really sorry that the last few days of it were a pain. Not a great kit producer then!
    Stitcher, welcome :j

Here is my 10/11/12 to 11/12/13 taken on the 10th, quite a bit more has been done since.

I am really enjoying this stitch as you can see the image coming together whereas with Al's you can't always.

Hope everyone has a good week :D

I have finally got all the bits to make up my pots of Christmas, but I am HOPELESS with thinking up a rhyme/poem to write on the tag. This is all I've come up with, but I'm not totally happy with it...

"I made this pot of Christmas cheer especially for you
Enjoy the chocs and I wish you luck for a festive win this year"

If anyone can think of something else, I'd be very grateful. It's just not my area of expertise!

Here's a pic of some of them-I'm making 10 or 12, but not all have the cross stitch hangers to go inside. I've done 5 hangers (for a few special friends, cousin and auntie)and a luggage tag for mum.

They all contain chocolate coins, choc snowmen, choc money note and either a mini twix, gold bar or Ferrero rocher and a Christmas scratchcard. Some contain a Christmas magnet too.

  • Wow Chicky I love the Elf and his blanket.
Stitcher I have used Cross stitch Heaven for a while now. I have checked that items are in stock before I order them. They have always come quicker that way. I have also used Across town, they are quicker and a little cheaper than Cross Stitch Heaven.
    Sk00bie1 Your angel looks wonderful
Hope your feeling better soon Chicky
    Good start PAP

    Hi ladies.

Pap. Thanks, so far there's been no confetti stitching on the cat design which I'm not complaining about :T
Nice update pic, look forward to seeing more progress and trying to guess what it is! (so don't tell me please, I like guessing :D )

Ruth. Very nice 'pots of christmas' though I can't help with the wording I'm afraid. Though I think Dragons wording is spot on.

As for me. Got some stitchy time in this afternoon after not doing much last week so it's coming along slow but sure.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
