I'd love to join the card exchange - thanks Caroline

I like the idea of a round robin as well but not until the new year

And I still want to finish a Christmas UFO on 12 12 12

This is my update on my latest Xmas stocking (which will be finished before Christmas:D)

  • i'd be happy to join a card exchange

Count me in as well - I am already doing an AOY exchange - just let me know the details - who, what, where! We are already a great bunch of "friends" - who do well I think all together for a stitch and b*tch session.

    Kind wishes

A round robin is where a set number of people all pick a design and then post it onto each other to stitch on. You will always post to the same person, and then they stitch a bit and post on to the next person. It works its way round the chain and eventually ends up back with you...

Just in addition to the above - on the ones I have seen the initial person has marked out a number of squares on their piece of fabric (depending on the number in the round robin) they pick a theme (eg: 'fairies', 'nature', fantasy'etc) so the first picture and send it on. The next to recieve it chooses their own design within the theme, stitches and passes on. So you get your fabric back with various pictures all stitchsigned by members.

I like this idea. If there were 12 of us doing it the obvious one that springs to mind is months of the year. As far I am concerned I would be happy for anything connected with a month. If there were only 4 of us then we could do seasons.

I assume the designs would be quite small so that we could do this as well as our other pieces.

Haven't done any stitching since last Tuesday, and then I only did an hour or so. I'm determined to do some this evening.

Have a lovely relaxing Sunday everyone.

  • will PM you caroline

MUST do stitching............ had a most unproductive 'completing surveys' night last night.
    **off topic***
    who does which sites?
I think I'm signed up to 80% of them. Have my 'top payers' - consumer pulse/ shop n scan/ IPSOS/ pinecone - which I try to do all the surveys for.
Am about 3/4 to my YOUGOV target but once I get there I'll not be doing it again takes farrrr to long.

others are on my "don't bother unless very bored" list.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Valued Opinions is good - have had £80 of Amazon vouchers from them this year...

They do trials too, which means you get freebies and £10 for each one :)

I can send you an invite if you need one - might as well because I get £1 for each one. Yay! (Does that sound greedy -- sorry)

I have finished all the stitching on Ladybird Fairy now except her right leg - I will try and post a photo sometime today :)

Hope every one is ok xx

I have an off topic question too this morning....

Do any of you meal plan and if so, how do you do it? I am finding that not being very organised and changing my mind is wasting food....

I'm tired this morning despite going to bed at 9.20pm last night ! although I did get woken at 2am when my cat decided he wanted to come back in (OH forgot to unlock the cat flap) OH has gone off running this morning so he was up early - course I woke up too and although I tried to doze - I don't think it was very productive dozing as I don't feel like doing anything ! and simply feel like going back to bed (but know I won't sleep).

So I had planned on doing lots of cross stitch this weekend but I don't feel like doing any at the moment. :( why oh why is the stitching mojo not there ? :(
