we started watching it and I'm thinking "don't kill cedric"....... but cedrics not dead. Then rememebred I dozed off in the last 15 mins last night, but still didn't recall a death....... so i googled it........... and asked hubby why he had skipped "the goblet of fire"......... so take 2 at Harry Potter night.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

I didn't know the quiz was on, just mentioned it to hubby and he already has it scheduled to record. How good is he!!
Well as you can see still on internet rather than stitching. Have searched Geroge clothing, evrything I wanted is out of stock so may need to go in store tomorrow. About to put debenhams order in. Then will stitch whilst watching telly which really annoys hubby.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Will we make a deadline for signing up...How about next Friday the 21st at midnight. I will then sort out names over the weekend and send you the person you will be stitching for. I will need everyone's full names and addresses. Please pm me with those details.
Thanks.
Hi, I know I don't post on here very often (mainly because I don't seem to have much time for stitching!) but I'd like to join the exchange please"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

don't know if I have mentioned it but I hit my weight watchers target on Friday, I've lost 60lb and dropped from a size 20/22 to a size 12/14. So pleased with myself. Just have to keep it off now.
NNM - hope your dog is okay now. It must have been horrible for you. I also hate to think what your vet bill is going to be.chickywiggle wrote: »NMM - glad puppy is feeling better now. Is it something similar to febrile convulsions (when babies get too hot they sometimes fit cause they can't regulate their temperatures).
I have no idea, she was asleep outside our bedroom door next to our other dog when it happened. I wish we knew why but i'll be happy if it never happens again.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
well done Aislb
my hubby liked both lego batman and indiana jones, kids!13 in 2013 challenge 9/130 -
I'm back after having a glass of wine with meal so hopefully I will still make sense.
fos - love your angel stocking. Stitching whilst Strictly is on is difficult as it is one your really need to watch, unlike the beloved soaps etc.
chicky - I do Valued Opinions - recently claimed £30 in Sainsbugs vouchers which I used for my food shopping and then transferred that amount into my Sealed Pot which will be used for xmassy stuff. I also do MySurvey I think they are called but I dont seem to do as many of these - these will be transferred to SP when I get the next £10 gathered. Also do YouGov but I'm only about halfway to claiming £50 - will be very nice when I make it. I have just claimed £4 from Crowdology (paid direct into PayPal) which will come in handy for any little bits of stitchy stuff I see. I have several surveys sitting in my inbox but just cant summon the whatever it is you have to have to fill them in atm - they will have probably reached there limit by the time I get round to doing them.
TMIF - looking forward to update piccy of Ladybird Fairy
nmm - hope all is well with Tikaani now - it must have been a very scary time for you.
subtle - I much prefer to stitch in a tidy room. It might be a conscience thing - if its untidy perhaps I should be tidying and not stitching maybe thats it.
Louise - enjoy your bank hol. Fancy hoping your hubby is called into work -nice one especially if that means double time and some stitchy time for you???
ocemeer - love the ducks :T
Ailsb - congratulations on your brilliant loss and reaching your WW target. You must feel amazing and well done on the walk. :T. I've had some of my most comfy bras from Debenhams and they always feel more comfy when I can get 20% off
chicky - hope you managed some more HP. Make sure you enjoy your hols. Looking forward to IF update.
Louise - is Big Fat Quiz by any chance?? Will record anyway just in case we haven't seen it. Always something to watch whilst stitching methinks.
Caroline - can you put me down for the christmas card exchange please. Will pm you with details. Thanks for sorting it for us.
Well I thinks thats about it for me now. Sorry for the rambling posts. Hope I haven't missed anyone.

He got a call just over an hour ago asking him to go in....I feel bad now.:o But a couple of hundred ££ is better in our pockets :j Still, he will be finished by 4pm so it's not all bad.Well back from our walk. We walked for just under 3 hours and did 7.5 miles. It was hard walking up and down hills but felt good to have done it. don't know if I have mentioned it but I hit my weight watchers target on Friday, I've lost 60lb and dropped from a size 20/22 to a size 12/14. Wow that's fantastic - well done you! :T

It's probably hiding alongside mine - if you find it, give mine a kick at the same time
That sounds like a good plan, although I think it sort of defeats the purpose if people don't want others to add their name and location - you might as well just do it yourself :rotfl:
The national flowers is great, and such a good theme - did you send the charts with your fabric, or did people find their own flowers to stitch?
Louise Hope your stitchy bug returns soon.
I agree with your comment but one thing I learned by doing round robins is that you cannot assume anything about other people's preferences
Thank you for the comment about the national flowers RR - we all sourced our own charts - I wouldn't have had a clue for the South African and Australian ones. I chose the red rose for England and for Lancashire which is where I was living at the time0 -
Good morning everyone.
I'm getting very excited by the Christmas card exchange and have already been looking through mags and charts
FE Off topic I have done meal planning for years so it has become a habit. It was originally done for time purposes then for budget purposes and it helps with both. Before I go food shopping (online or in person) I check what we have in and then do an initial plan which I adapt according to special offers, seasonal produce etc. Then I make a note of the plan and stick the note to the fridge.
I use my slow cooker a lot and this helps as the meal is almost ready when I get home so no thought needed.
On reflection I think the single thing that makes meal planning work is sticking to the plan - we are having a chicken and mushroom casserole cooked in the slow cooker tonight which will be served with rice and veg and that's it. If it's not what we fancy then there is no alternative.
As there are only 2 of us at home now I usually cook double portions and freeze the other half.
It's a bit like the advice about never doing food shopping when hungry - plan your meals when you have time and then stick to the plan.
chicky I did start to do surveys but decided the time invested wasn't worth the return
nmm Please to hear that Tikaani has recovered - must have been very scary for you both
caroline sorry can't help with the foam letters. Could you use stickers instead?
Maria Thank you for the comments about my Flickr account - it does represent over 20 years of stitching effort
I love the teapots RR as well - it was one where I sent a selection of charts (more than were needed so that it was still a surprise to see which teapot everyone had chosen)
I made most of the bags at stitching classes which is definitely the best way as there is someone to show you how to do the tricky bits. Though some of the designs are really simple to do if you can stitch a straight line on a sewing machine.0
