Hi all, not been on here for a few days and you moved. Have caught up on the posts now. The updates/finished designs are lovely. Especially like the Snowmen (sorry can't remember who completed it and don't know how to look back when I have a reply open). Also the Big Cats design by Leemara(??) is stunning.

I've done very little stitching this week can't seem to motivate myself. I have managed to find the Charlie Bear chart that I mentioned a few weeks ago. I think I'm going to stictch the "C" but with the bear off the "Z" for Charlie for his first Christmas. Have also found the book I'd mislaid which has an Asian Elephant, Peacock, Tree Frog, Cobra and Leopard in. Looking to do 4 of these in one design for Christmas for my son.

Ok - now to take my rose tinted specs off. I've put them on my "to do" list so this means they will probably not get down this side of 2020.

In case anyone is interested we only have just over 13 weeks until the next special date this year 20th December, 20122012. May need to plan finishing something that I can add a date to on this day.

I hadn't thought about stitching something with a special date - I usually just put a year on it

Have to point out we will also have 12.12.12, so I might aim to get an xmas design done for both those dates.

No stitching done here - I finished a xmas cupcake last night but feeling rough today (throat glands/infection type thing) so not in the mood.

Hope everyone has a good stitchy weekend though xxx

Hadn't thought about 12.12.12. Will have to give it a go.

Off to bed now. Just finished watching Best of Men - it was really good. Considering I wasn't bothered if I watched it or not I feel really emotional now. Would recommend it if it;s still on catch up.

I only remembered about 12.12.12 because my sister was planning to get married that day but unfortunately they split up.:o

Speaking of wedding plans - I will have to add the Rennie McIntosh wedding sampler to my to do list for a cousins wedding next year. Can't start until I find out what her colour scheme is though. The downside is that the wedding is bang in the middle of the two weeks I was supposed to be working away next summer - of all the Saturdays it could have been it had to be that one!

    Morning all

A shiny new thread. I bet it will fill up very quickly

Does anyone know the cheapest place for blank coasters? The ones on fleababy are all the same shape and I could do with some round and some square. The best option I have found is Sewandso with the 5% newsletter discount.

Looking forward to seeing everyones latest updates. I finished another coaster and a keyring yesterday. Please all send positive thoughts my way in two weeks time that I actually sell some of my hard work!!

    Emma

Hi Emma I missed this post and you may have had other answers

I like the coasters from Debbie Cripps - they are nice and deep and sturdy but they are £2 each They come in round, square and octagonal Willow Fabrics sell them in packs of 5 or 10 and they work out cheaper this way. I've bought goods from both companies and can recommend them.

12.12.12 does sound a good challange deadline - should we have a group attempt? I'm thinking a theme of: "twas the night before christmas" or "12 days of christmas"

Just come accross these crosss-stitch icecreams - there's a whole series 1 for each month.
Not really sure what to make of them.
    I don't think I like them.................

    Hello Girls

Hope all is well where ever you are in the world.

Technology is not my friend today - everytime I try to upload to photobucket from the camera it says file has to be formatted so don't know why - need to work on it. Was going to show you the update on my teddy, so will try later. Also was going to show a copy of the AOY I am doing in the exchange.

Brought some homework - so going to do some of it before I do some stitching and I still have to check in facebook and put some washing out - hope it stays dry.

Love the smoking needle - reminds me of us - stitching away.

    Keep well

    sweetcarer ;)

PS like the idea of the date - like my wedding date 07.07.07 - so hubby don't forget lol
:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j
