pap - lovely cards :T
shelly - good luck with your test in the morning. Hope you manage to get kitty home with you too.
maria - those stacked trees look brill.
Stitchy-related stuff I've picked up today - yet another red frame from Ikea (this one is for Boofle) and some very thin silver stretchy elastic stuff to use on some of the xmas cards.
No stitching done today at all

Have a quick question for those who subcribe to WOCS. I signed up for the 5 issues for a £5 back in Feb. They took the first payment out £5 and then later on in the year they took another payment in about june/july.
My question is : Does anyone know when the next payment is due to come out? I know it might be a long shot as everyone might have different payment dates.
I have tried to login to their website but I keep getting an error message.cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot

I've been trying to login to view my subscription too!
I thought it was work's computer, but seeing your post has reminded me to try here and no joy.
If I can't get it to work tomorrow I'm going to ring them I think, I want to find out if they can change my subscription to a different mag for the remainder, I think mine will go till February. I'm still going to cancel it after it runs out.Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger No. 26 :hello:XStitch to do list:-- Birth Sampler -- Christmas Angel -- Mum's Xmas Stitch -- Christmas decs 3 & 4 -- Xmas Bird ---- Snowflake Sonata -- Be Jolly -- JE Unicorn -- Start HAED!!! --0 -

I have usually cancelled my d/d before the second d/d comes out but I seem to remember reading that after the first 5 for £5 it would be something like £8.99 every 3 issues. If you don't have any success with website maybe give them a call to see if they can work it out for you.

Firefly - thanks for the details of the magazine. Unfortunately I don't subscribe to this magazine, I almost bought it for the nativity design but decided against it. Thanks for the info though, may have a look if it's still in WHS and if so if it will be the right size. Thanks for the link to the canvas, if I decide to "do my own" I think I'll go for a fat quarter.
Chicky & Louise - I couldn't even contemplate stitching the swatches as one piece, I know I'd never finish it.
MrsF49 - thanks for the details re Cross Stitch Crazy, this isn't a magazine that I'm familiar with.
Flowers - Will have a look at willow Fabrics. As I've never stitched a cushion I'm not sure what the difference between acrylic and wool is for this.
PAP & Catwoman - thanks for the links and for looking for a free charts. I did spend ages trying to find one but drew a blank.
PAP - Your cards are great.
Catwoman - it's £8.99 every 3 months, so if the last payment was June then the next would have been Sept if July then Oct. I'd call them tomorrow and check. They were very helpful when I called about my sub.
Re French Knots. I can do them but don't enjoy them so I use beads now as well.
For anyone after frames Sainsburys have Silver and Red ones in a pack of 3 I think they were £6 and 5X7.
Shelly - good luck tomorrow and for picking up the kitty.
Louise - looking forward to seeing your chocs.
The more I think about it the more I think I'll a) wait and see if I find anything at the show on Thursday and b) if not order the other cushion kit from sewandso.
I did buy this cross stitch kit earlier in the year.May see how this would convert to a cushion or may just try to stitch it as it is but not for this Christmas I don't have the time.
nmm - sorry to hear about your dog hope things get better and she gets older.
Dragonfly - can't help with the frame but agree with Maria re aida, kit and coasters from Sewandso and acrosstown for thread. Both are really good sites to buy from. Also RUCrafts are good for kits.
Re French Knots - I can do them but don't enjoy them so I use beads as well.
For anyone after frames Sainsburys have red ones and silver ones in a pack of 3, I think they are 5X7 and cost £6

Oh I have many a day like that :rotfl:
Maria - Those trees are very pretty, but also seem like a lot of work,
I look forward to seeing how long they take and how they turn out
Well as I mentioned earlier, I spent this afternoon making chocolate tree decs (as seen on many christmas craft sections of the website). I will be bagging them to sell at the school craft fayre.
