Soo easy but looks much more effective then the printed ones.

lesson number 1: wine and knitting do not mix
lesson number 2: unpicking knitting is much quicker and easier and harder to rescue than cross stitching.

Louise Just realised I didn't post a picture of City of Angels - are you still interested ?

Thank you for asking, but from what I've seen it's not as nice as I was hoping x

Just been looking at the 'Somebunny' free gift - I noticed the mount was inside the back of the magazine, so I cut it out to put with the kit (as you do) and realised there was already a mount in there...but the aperture is cut in the wrong place! Is everyone else's like this or did I just get a dud one? :rotfl:

Isn't there over 400 DMC colours? That's a lot of work & lots of aida to make it. But I like the idea & if you design your own charts, or change colours in kits, it would be useful to lay out the samples to see what colours work. But you could lay skeins of thread out anyway...:o

Playing with my pots of Christmas tonight & seeing who deserves/would appreciate a stitched tree decoration in their pot. My aunt once left a stitched gift at my grandmas after Christmas and took months to pick it up (despite visiting several times) so I'm not inclined to give her one. I know they're only small & don't take much work, but why waste stitching time on someone like that?

Hopefully the bad publicity will change their mind. Really puts you off buying gift cards, though.

  • It's not the fault of the staff at the shops - they are all at risk of losing their jobs, not a nice place to be.

I am sure the kid will get his ipad too.
