I don't like WOCS either this month :( I don't think there is anything featured that I want to stitch. A shame really. I seem to remember WOCS wasn't very inspiring last month. That's the trouble with a subscription - you are stuck with the rubbish nothing I want to stitch issues.

The mag's saving grace is probably the somebunny free kit which is cute. Decorating the Tree chart is sweet although I think I would like a traditional green tree rather than the white tree featured.

I have had quite a busy morning. Had my shopping delivered by Mr T then popped into town to pick up xmas gift I looked at yesterday and get a few other bits including the chocolate brownie cheesecake Mr T didn't deliver!

Popped into B00ts to look at xmas gifts but it was busy and nothing really appealed. Kind of object to buying gifts when you know they are going to be reduced to silly prices on boxing day. I did think about getting a couple of nice wash bags and filling them with half price beauty products but will leave that for another day.

In the meantime, I cleared the clearance shelf in B00ts and even better, the gifts I bought went through on the 3 for 2 :money:

So just making some lunch then a chill out afternoon in front of the tv with my stitching :T

WORLD OF COSS STITCHING - Issue 197

Free Gift - 1- Somebunny to love card kit, quite cute. 2- Lili of the Valley 'decorating the tree'. t's a cute enough desing but I'm not too keen on all the white used.

Warm Hearts,Forever firends design - Pretty basic and straightforward stitch. Would be easy to make and put in a frame as a quick gift.

Pg15 (letters) Someone has stitched 'Ballerina Beauty' and it looks amazing. Something I would love to tackle but I have too many other things to do.

A Note from Margaret - Can anyone else tell me the point of writing about an old sofa cos it's lost on me??

Poinsettia ABC - Flowery so not for me but others may like it for cards, coasters etc

Santa's Office by Joan Elliot - lovely, bright and cheeful design. Looks more complicated than it is. I think my mum would love this - but not this year!

Festive trees - for cards - there are two that I like, the curly one and the one with all the writing.

Subs Extra - Eat Drink and Be Merry - cute, lots of little motifs

Sparkle & Shine - Samplers aren't really my thing tbh but this is quite pretty in a muted sort of way.

Design Library - Stitch me quick xmas designs - prfect for last minute cards

Stocking fillers - these are a bit different from normal. Lanyards, gadget cosy case, phone case etc. I like the space invaders design and 'keep calm and LOL' :rotfl:

Christmas Meerkat - was it really 4 weeks ago I saw this and thought my MIL would love it? Time has flown. It doesn't look like it will take too long so I will try and fit it in I think :)

Christmas Cupcake - Thank goodness there will be a new monthly thing soon

Winter Window - part 3 of the series. Pretty but not for me.

Christmas Stocking - one of Lucie Heatons mice, very cute.

Country Christmas - Very 'Downton'...1920's style christmas staircase scene with people dressed up. If I stitched this I would have to make changes though - a couple of the faces (lady in yellow in particular) look a little 'cartoony' and her bust looks too low and droopy :rotfl:

Next Month - The spanish Lady looks lovely, and Tom Mouse pouring champagne is very cute :)

    Hello girls

Been stitching up a storm here. Got another page done on purple work. Hubby wonders if I am stitching more is because I am trying to lock myself away more. I am trying so hard not to worry about life. Gets so hard for me. Had an awful night terror last night.

Anyway, onto purplework - hope everyone else is ok - keep well

    **Off topic***

Had a good day shopping! Was dreading it after Tuesday's day of hell, but it was nowhere near as bad.
I got the game I was after for my hubby (desperate to buy after I saw on Grabbit board that it was 1/2 price) after spotting it in a bin of stock to go out-shelf was empty so thought they'd sold out. Then I got us both cheesy Christmas jumpers in Primark-£12 each. Wanted one for ages, but finding plus size at a good price for this kind of thing is almost impossible. Got men's XXL for me & was happy it fitted. Just as well I'm not small enough to wear their pjs because they had some lovely nightwear. Would've spent the entire winter wearing pjs or onesies. :)
Also got some xmas plastic tumblers to make up pots of gold (although mine might turn into pots of Christmas) in poundland. So, very pleased with my haul.
Oh, had a very quick play with a kindle fire today, Louise, but I wasn't that impressed. I think reading on a normal kindle would be far easier on the eyes.
Local fireworks display is on tonight & hoping Blossom won't get too stressed about all the noises. Cooking bangers & mash for tea. Yum yum. What's everyone else having?
