(ok 3rd try to post without it disapearing!)

Hi ladies, some of you asked for wedding photos... i dont want to bore the rest of you so here's a link to the 10 that are currently on my Flickr page.

As my shoes were stitchy related, perhaps you'd like to see those here though? And also my bouquet, as I made it by hand from vintage lace, old sheets and the satin, lace & net trimmings from having my dress shortened (it was made 3 inches too long!!:()(but i had it taken up 5 inches anyway, so after the initial disapointment it was all for the best:).)

I wore Miss L Fire's 'Homemaker'. She makes modern shoes from vintage shapes, and these are covered with flower embroidery and have 'home sweet home' embroidered on the toe. I fell in love with them, and very luckily they came on Ama@on 1/2 price sale! So I got perfect-for-me designer shoes for less than high street white satin! yay! :j I am not shoe obsessed, despite my job, but I did change into RocketDog twinkly pumps for an hour before putting on a pair of vintage-style mary jane court shoes in sea-foam green for the evenings Jive!:j

    and here's a close up:

    morning all
sounds like you are all busy
hugs to the poorlies and out of sorts
hope you are sorted with you cushion now bossy, would also love to see a photo when its done.
did more gold blackwork last night, im about halfway across the hem band now, i thought it looked hideously hard but once you get the first couple of rows in its just a repeating pattern so quite straightforward, however mine does not look the same on the back as the front so wont be posting a photo of the back.
    have a good day all

I would never show back of my work - feel its very untidy - hubby says it looks ok tho.

I do love getting cross stitch parcels - better than bills!

We had a lovely day in Edinburgh. Didn't stay for parade as we were wet and cold. We did go the pictures and seen Funsize - quite a funny film and halloween based. Had some nice food and then home. Got a wee surprise - we went into John Lewis for a wee browse and I went to pay for something - a present for one of my friends christmas and hubby just lurked - he lurked all the way to haberdarshery and bought me some stork scissors - just to say thank you for all my support in his lack of working and that I deserved a treat.

Well here is an update in purplework. Off out later to do some stuff for the car. My da has bought me a new one (2nd hand) and I will pay him back. Hate being poor.

Not the best photo but best I can do.

    Keep well everyone

Sweetcarer - that's looking fab and you're stitching it really quickly.

Had a meeting I was supposed to be at this mroning cancel last minute so I've stitched instead. Finished the fairies - YAY. Now stitching the bug for son, once this is finished I will start on the tree of stitches for my sister and BIL. I've never stitched a design twice before (tree of stitches) so hope I don't get too bored with it. I'm hoping that the different stitches and using different colours will keep me going.

Quick question re Tree of Stitches. I have some white even weave that I could use for this design and can use thread that I also have so no expense. The question is do you think white fabric is too stark if I want to stitch the design in autumnal colours reds/oranges?

Here's a picture of the one I stitched for myself earlier in the year, don't think I posted before. 8144618646_6b1bbcb245.jpg
tree of stitches finished by Ailsb1, on Flickr

Picture doesn't show it but this is stitched on cream evenweave. If white is too stark will need to buy some fabric. Colour ideas greatly appreciated.
