  • I've used a seed bead on top of a sequin if a french knot won't work. Hope you will be able to share photos of this project - I love Lizzie Kate designs :)

Managed to stick sequins on with superglue gel (Loctite) I think its the one that was mentioned a few days ago from HB for £1.
Fingers crossed they dont fall off.

Visit to HB resulted in purchase of the four skeins I went for and one sheet of silver sticker thingies for cards and that was it - how good was that. :D To be quite honest by the time we got there we were absolutely shattered and just couldn't be bothered :o. Total spend - less than £4. :j

Back out again just now so will try to catch up with you all later.

Ooooooh wine :) I want wine! And cake! Would love a Halloween cupcake!

Trying not to attack the sweets I bought for OHs birthday 'cake' (he's not a cake fan so am making him a cakeless cake for his birthday :D ) Trying (struggling) not to eat anything in fact, want to lose a few more pounds before the wedding :rotfl:

Finished the Snow angel's beads, just have to cut it out and stitch the wings on.

Louise - I have a kindle and haven't considered upgrading, mine works fine. I do however have my eye on an ipad, not to read on, just cause I want one :rotfl: Not :money: at all but hey ho Maybe after the wedding :D

    *off topic*
My quick 2ps on being an iPad owner... I have a second-hand first generation. No cameras, no 3G. It might not have been cheap, but it was cheaper than a new computer! And what I havnt saved in money, I have saved in time.
Instead of logging on to desktop upstairs to check a recipie, read a blog post, check fb etc, I can do it in adverts, whilst cooking etc... This has been brilliant. And we no longer buy papers, or TV guide, i get more vouchers and MSE offers, etc, i dont need to print recipies i can just pop the ipad next to the cooker, i use the internet radio and iplayer on it so the TV is on less, and i can read PDFs and Kindle books, so small savings here and there due to it!
But the nicest thing has been popping my digital photos on it and taking them round to my elderly relatives... Easy for them to zoom in on faces etc and really fulfilling :)
Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!

On the topic of iPads, if you've got a light enough laptop or a netbook then there's no need for one.

I plonked my laptop on the side when I was in the kitchen following a recipe for bread rolls. I can also carry it round the house if I need to look something up in an ad break or anything like that. It's also got way more storage space for music and pictures.

Oh and the bread rolls were the best I've ever tasted ;)
Savings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.

Just back from Warwick Castle in the rain so cup of tea and cup cake will hit the spot fine.

Wait I hear my hubby back with an Indian takeaway, might pass on the and reach for the wine instead.
