Oh you are so very lucky that chart is beautiful and everytime I see it advertised in a mag I mentally ad it to my wish list.
Enjoy stitching it. Like you, it always reminds me of Kate Middleton too.0 -
Where does everyone get their needles? I've just been having a look on ebay but wasn't sure if there is anywhere else cheaper? I'm looking to get quite a lot of needles, say about 20 or 25 to start pre threading them in batches. I currently only own 2 or 3 cross stitch needles and I only know where one of them is (in my project, the others are probably in my sewing box but I haven't checked.
First got some from a seller on ebay called Busy Lizzie (i think) a pack of 10. second batch were from Louise at Across Town, a pack of 50. I usually buy the gold plated.
Also my thread n' beads from Across Town arrived today0 -
has anyone else stitched a 'little star' design?
I love them but had to post on their facebook page tonight as 'christmas stocking' looks horrible - sooo 'holey'.
the creams are all stitched in 1 strand and you can tell by the unstitched bit how large the aida holes are. It's not a case of the aida being too taught either - if anything it is too loose in the hoop.
looking at 'dinosaur abc' thats aida's just as bad (but you can't see so many 'holes' within the blocked stitching as its 2 strands.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
well done on the win Mrs MP.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0

I just ordered needles from the lady Mags said. I'd already been looking at hers on ebay so with that recommendation I've gone for it.
I haven't been able to concentrate on my stitching today, I keep thinking about what that scan might find - but I can't keep worrying for 3 weeks or I'll go mad!0 -
Thinking of you elliep x13 in 2013 challenge 9/130

Alisb, thanks for your offer for the missing thread. Its 3743 but I am hoping to get to HC today or tommorow otherwise I will not be able to finish
Littlestar, this is the second B&W kit I have sewed from Al's. It does get boring after a while that's why they seem to take me a long time. But the end result is always wow.
Shelly, I am hoping I will be done. I have the luxuary of being off work this week so every night is spent stitching which is lovely.
Laura, I have a A4 page and the confetti you can see above. Its quite nice as I kept a bus to stitch last which is a nice change from the greyscale.
Just received conformation that my next charts are on the way. They are both for xmas 2013, an 'apple' for my brother and an owl for my mum. Suppose I had better finish this one first though0 -
Gosh, I have lots to catch up on since I was last online. Catch up Part 2
Sorry if I have missed anyone off since I last posted or got people mixed up . I had over 20 pages to catch up on :rotfl:
Brown owl is lovely Mags_cat, love the frame as well.
Laura Noah’s ark is coming along, love the card
Glad you are up and about Ruth_honey, and your wounds are healing nicely.
Ailsb Paris Happy silver anniversary, I would love to go to Paris. It’s on to “to go to list “ Hope you enjoyed your wine, and what lovely glasses. Great fairies and bugs. I use an old mint tin at the moment to keep my needles safe. I have thought about buying a pako needle threader, but never got round to it, so I just thread as I go (if you know what I mean) I have one of these as well Tanto Thread Organiser, but not used it either Flat eric, I got it cheap off ebay
I did find this, for all the loose needles, might be an idea if they are not threaded. http://www.cross-stitch-heaven.co.uk/needle-organisers---needle-tubes-21200-p.asp

Firefly lovely update
Flat eric its a very cute kit
Maria I would put it away, for now and look at it in a couple of months. If you still feel the same then either try and sell it as it is or give it away to someone
JCS1 the blackwork angel looks great
PAP London is looking fab, bet you cant wait to finish it
Joan Elliott Ultimate collection book looks nice, I know what you mean elliep, it is so hard to get and ebay have silly prices.
I agree with others, waiting is not good. Your mind goes into overdrive. Best to do something to keep you mind off it and stitching or reading a good book helps.
Pm I love the finished big cat, it looks great in that frame.

Louise twelve days of Christmas is coming along quickly as ever
I have been stitching a little over the past week, may post a pic of what I am doing. What do people do about back stitching on big projects. I am wondering if to start the back stitch as I go, or should I leave it to the very end?
Right I am off for a bath, then off to work. Sometimes I hate working shifts take care xxcross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot

Hi ladies.
Sweetcarer. Good luck in the competitions on Saturday!
Mrsmp. Well done on your prize wins! Scarlett is lovely and the penguins are too cute!
Ellie. Sorry to read about your health issues. I really hope the scans come back clear.
As for me. Still no stitching here this week. Hubby was home from work yesterday so we went out and about shopping.
Thanks again for the fabric advice. I bought the pieces from ebay I needed last night. I just need 2 more pieces that will come from AT when I put my thread order in.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
