Oh dear. I am so grumpy! will try to hold off for bedtime for a wee bit longer.... don't want to be waking up in the early hours and then not being able to sleep.

What does everyone have planned stitchy wise this week and also what would be your ideal xmas stitchy gift?

blackwork angel is coming along beautifully sk00bie

just glancing through eblay (as you do) and spotted this

    how difficult does that look

That's funny - I was sitting with DS1 in the orthodontists waiting room the other week and they had that print on the wall - I was looking at it thinking 'that would be a nightmare to stitch' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thing is, it's 'only' 64 colours and 17x13 but the confetti stitching would be the killer

I'm looking forward to catching up with a friend later. May also have to give into temptation and buy something from the stitchy shop we will be visiting :T

Have woken just as grumpy and tired as I did when I went to bed last night :( so hoping a bit of fresh air will do me good.

I'm also looking forward to doing some stitching tomorrow. Haven't done any in nearly a week ? Wonder if this is the reason I feel so grumpy?

MrsMP - it's DMC52. Need to take something back to Hobbycraft so will bite the bullet and buy one from them. Prefer to get it from my local shop but that's the opposite direction.

Here's the photo of the glasses and wine our son got us for our anniversary.

He went shopping with my Dad, who doesn't drink so has no idea. I'm really pleased with him as he's been saving his pocket money up so he could get us something nice to keep. we drank the wine out of them really well. :rotfl:

Flateric - missed your question - sorry. Hoping to get on with leaves around fairy and then start Bug over the weekend. My ideal stitchy related gift would be the DMC wooden storage chest (or similar) so that I could keep all of my threads together instead of in 4 different boxes. You did ask for ideal! I'll never get this as it's over £300.

    Hi ladies.

Fos. Thanks for the link, some nice designs there, have added it to favourites. The one you have stitched is lovely.

FE. The CC kit you are after seems to be for sale here http://freespace.virgin.net/newnham-court.crafts/dmc.htm

Sweetcarer. Looking forward to seeing your bookmarks.

Ailsb. Lovely gift from your Son, how thoughtful!

As for me. Had a couple of nice surprises this week.
Firstly we have saved money by not having to buy a new printer. We thought ours was on it's last legs because even when copying charts on 'best' setting they weren't good at all. (On the cats one I am working from now I have had to go over lots of symbols in black pen to be able to see them)
Anyway, hubby replaced all the inks and wondered if the printer heads needed re-aligning.
Once he had got the printer to re-align it's heads it now works perfectly again! :j

Secondly, I logged into TCB to get some insurance quotes to find I had £50 waiting to be claimed :T I had forgotten all about it, was from home insurance earlier in the year. So now I can put that cash towards getting all the threads and fabric I need and hubby doesn't have to pay for it all.

Hope to get some stitchy time later!
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

  • Hello Ladies,

Just had a mammoth catch up session.

Wow you have all been so busy...

Ruth Honey - Glad to hear you are doing better. Very sorry to hear about your friend that passed.

Louise - Your framed pieces are amazing. Very inspiring. I love the little Robin too.

Vickie - That is a lovely Winnie the Poo sampler. Do you have any update pics

Laura2481 - Nice B'day card. The badge is a great idea. Noahs Ark is coming along very nicely.

Mags Cat - Your brown owl is awesome and the frame shows it off amazingly. Are you keeping him for yourself?

Alisb - Congratulations on the Silver Wedding Anniversary. The glasses your DS bought are lovely.

Sweetcarer - I love your Purple work.

Little bear - Your calander Bears look great. How long have you been working on them?

Skoobie - parcels are always sooo much better to recieve than bills. Your Xmas letter is beautiful. And I love your Blackwork angel.

I'm sorry I haven't been around. Lots of visits to Doctors and fertility specialists to see if there is a reason why we are not managing to concieve. Been getting a bit stressed/obbessed with it but have continued to do some stitching. Here is a little update from me;)
    img560.jpg

I think in hindsight stitching a birth sampler for someone else when I am struggling to get pregnant myself wasn't such a good idea. *rolls eyes*

Might have to get going on some Xmas stuff to try and get my mojo back.:rudolf: Can't believe how many of you have started or even finished your card for the exchange:eek:

Hope you all have a stitchy weekend.:)
