*Louise*, Love the Michael Powell cottage. always wanted to complete one of his designs but due to the fact I am really not good with backstitch I have always side stepped his designs
Lokks amazing finished!
chicky, That "If" looks beautiful, is it a gift or are you hanging it?
Emma, really cute snow globe's I MUST resist though
Christmas card is done, this is the finished design. I am planning to sew 2 of each colour - blue, red & green. Then I can send them out to the correct people, ie someone who doesn't care for xmas is getting a blue :rotfl:
Mangaged to win the sewing box :T Now the work beigns, strip the lining, reline, sand, wax/polish, new latch etc etc. Have taken a picture of its 'before' state and will keep pictures along the way0 -

Catwoman, depending on what designs you want to stitch what about buying pre-made aprons from linin, like this. Then use some waste aida to stitch the design. Depending obviously on the design/colour, the seller seems to sell other designs/fabric too.0 -
Sweet career sorry you are having a rubbish day, hope the rest of the day is better
Love your purple work it is coming along very quickly
Pap your card is really nice, can't wait for before and after pictures of the sewing box13 in 2013 challenge 9/130 -
Having a day not doing very much - no stitching yet. Can't make up my mind what I fancy stitching - too many choices - too few hours and also tempted to read/listen to an audible book or simply watch tv or sleep.
In the meantime, I have been updating my money spreadsheet. First step in getting organised! Seeing it in black and white makes sobering readingDetermined to keep track of money and off topic, sorry, do any of you have any suggestions of how best to manage my money to the last penny? Any spend apps you can recommend to help keep track of grocery spends/misc spending etc ?

P.S Found this site yesterday and spent quite a while browsing. DISCLAIMER - I will not be held responsible for any extras being added to stashes.
Good site - I registered when I was looking for all the flags a couple of months ago. There isn't too many free charts which appeal to me, so I would probably end up spendng money *close the page* :rotfl:littlestar1981 wrote: »The Michael Powell cross stitch is gorgeous *Louise*!!! Why do I feel like my stash (which currently holds only 2 tatty teddies and a huge fairylike HAED that I've done about 100 stitches of) is going to suddenly shoot up!
Yeah...the cafe has that effect......:rotfl:blue_eyed_girl wrote: »Flat Eric - I'm torn between housework or a lazy stitchy sort of afternoon :think: decisions decisions .......

Chicky - IF looks fantastic :TOh and by the way, am loving the cross stitch magazine apps, have the current cross stitcher and woxs, hubby's gonna find a way to print from them too, so that'll be good, more to put on my 'to do' list, lol.
I'm afraid I'm not much help with mounts, never done my own. But good news about your magazines, hope hubby proves himself useful and can print them!:jRuth_honey wrote: »It's just started raining here.I was planning on going out for a walk this afternoon. And they removed my gall bladder and lots of my blood! I'm not happy at all.
Oh, that's not very fair :(Could it be water retention or something, maybe it will settle back to normal next weigh in?Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. On for a wee quickie before work.
Message for everyone from Ruth_Honey - she is good - in hospital still with a wee bit of pain but missing all the chatter in here. I will text her later to see how she is today.
Lunch - have the same nearly everyday - wholemeal bread, tomato and ham with a yogurt for afterwards. Boring - considering the boys at work are more adventurus - pot noodles (varying brands), home made pasta dishes, curries, etc. Some even bring in their takeaway left overs - pizza, pakora. One of them brings in home made soup as he is on a diet.
Well keep well everyone, see ya later alligator.

Thanks so much for all your texts & passing on my thanks to everyone in here while I was away. I'm still catching up properly, but it's so nice to read all the messages from you all saying you were thinking of me. I could've tolerated hospital for longer if they had free wifi & I had iPad with me! It wouldn't feel so lonely if I could've got on here for a chat.
Lunches for me at the moment tend to be soup, wholemeal roll or something like spaghetti hoops/ravioli on toast. Really can't be bothered with cooking. Quite into yogurts at the moment & I love the tesco value chocolate moussee(4 pack for 26p), so I'll have that as a snack if I need it.subtle_minx wrote: »Me neither, but I googled it and it is really lovely! I'll keep an eye out and let you know if I see it cheaper.... not found it cheaper, but just had a thought, isn't there a seller where you can tell them the chart and the materials you want to use and they will arrange it for you as a kit at a reasonable price. If there is not, I think there should be.
just pondering aloud. Slightly delirious at present but not throwing up all the time so its a good start to recovery.
How are you feeling now? Better, I hope.Just had an e-mail about some new snow globe charts from Lucie Heaton. Quite cute - all 8 for £4.50
Just thought I'd share!!

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
PAP- the sewing box project sounds fun. Think I'd get bored stitching the same design twice let alone 6 times.
If is for my mum for Christmas so now to find a frame (can't justify a framers cost). I'm hoping it will fit the one I already have that matches the one I gave her last year.
catwoman they look a fab idea. Found 4 for £15 with a chart on Stitcher
OK so wine bottle aprons I can see the point of ............. but Washing up bottles ones???!!!
UH OH shouldn't have looked.
Love this boat piece and cars one.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
