  • Little star I would like to apologise if you felt I was being rude in any way, as I wasn't I was trying to explain how I search for charts as after trying many different ways of wording it and spending many hours clicking on links I have only recently discovered the image tab thanks to my son (how do these little kids no more than me) I'm not a rude person as anyone who knows me will tell you, I was just trying help.

Sorry again if I offended you, that was never my intention, only to help

On a brighter note I'm off to do the washing up unless anyone wants to come and do it for me?

  • No probs Maria, no offence taken it was more Chickywiggle's comment that made me thought you were all being sarcastic, I hadn't thought about it when I read your post and that which is why I thanked your post. And while I didn't find what I was looking for I did find a couple of other things that way so thank you xxx

Opps I really must stop snoozing on the way home from work - I'm going to end up going back and forth (all evening) soon :rotfl:

Just browsing a kleenez catalogue that was dropped through my door. They do sell some strange things!

Welcome home RUTH HONEY make sure you take it easy and rest lots.

feeling :( this evening. another one of those days when you wish you could walk round the office with a brown paper bag over your head but not going to dwell on it. its the weekend and I have no plans other than to relax and do as I please. I suspect therefore that just a little bit of cross stitch might get a look in :rotfl:

Thanks for this, I can't use letters but I've just realised, I could do a load of little space motifs together, so think I'll get busy on ebay thank you!!!

Ooh really like the rocket. Not sure I should point it out but the seller has done themselves out as just need to click enlarge and save and could work off the design from there *slap wrist*. I would do a couple in op directions and diff colours which a star in middle or something.

ooh just had a better looksie n' they have some nice l'il charts, may have to buy a couple at some point. Thankfully for them most can not be stitched directly from the pic.

FOS - Just buy it! (Honestly, you shouldn't ask me, I have no anti-stash willpower):rotfl:I think it's a beautiful design as well, I would buy it, but only if I could find the chart on it's own.

When I am TRYING to resist something, I bookmark it so I can go back to something after a while and see how much I still want it want it. I have crossed a few things off my To Do list just by waiting and finding my tastes changed :o

Just before I logged in here I bookmarked two Lizzie Kate designs - 'Be Naughty, save santa a trip' and 'Children are a great way to start people' I probably will end up buying them as they sell the charts on their own.

brednall - Thanks for sharing the snow globes, I really like them, especially the top set. I think they would make nice coaster inserts :)

Ruth - good to see you posting, sorry to hear things were more complicated but at least that's it done now, wishing you a speedy recovery xxx

Flat Eric - Just gonna send you big (((HUGS))) hope some stitching perks you up a bit xxx

I would dread to think how many projects would find themselves on my stitchy list. I have far too much stash and I have forgotton about the case of kits I have in my loft.... from the time when I had too much time on my hands and e-&ay ate all my spare cash and more!

Oh dear. I can never understand our cat. The cheeky what not has taken to demanding his food off my OH (eating the same) and then pretending he hasn't been fed and demanding more food from me when I get home from work. My very first cat – I seem to remember roast dinner became roast dinner without chicken after said cat helped himself!

No good asking me because I'm afraid my answer would be sod the expense – buy it. Despite being a gold member of SABLE, I still buy more stash! I suppose my buy it now mantra comes from when I first used to do cross stitch and I didn't buy some snoopy kits I saw and loved only for the company to go out of business.

I would much rather have an evening in stitching than spending my time down the pub or nightclubbing. And the money saved – well it would be rude not to spend it on stash! Its a shame I can't get sew and so to change their name to a supermarket for invoicing purposes!

I'm looking forward to getting the next issue of Cross Stitch Collection. I'm also tempted to subscribe....

Hope you are feeling better. Sending hugs xxx

Can't think of anything off the top of my head but if I spot anything, will let you know.

    Chicky
ditto meal planning for me also. Have started writing out what I want to eat on a weekly basis (breakfast items etc) – fruit for lunch boxes etc. Then going to plan meals around this and shop accordingly. Wasting far too much money on food and throwing away food also
