OS wise I am about to watch another of my 50p from the library videos - Lost for Words, a favourite with Thora Hird and written by Deric Longden one of my favourite authors! He has written some wonderful books, many about cats! Never fails to cheer me up even when the subject is sad he writes so well you see the funny side of things.
Catz x
I'm another fan  A friend of mine interviewed him for the BBC, and she'd never heard of him. She told him this, but also that she had a friend who had, so he gave her a signed book just for me :T That's *Lost for words* too.
Been in the garden all day. A lot of my plants have expanded, and need thinning out. I've offered the thinnings on Freecycle and have had loads of replys - lots of people offering things to me too :j :j I :lovethoug Freecycle :T

Afternoon all!
Sorry I've not posted on the daily recently. Am at home, and dad's off poorly, so he's parked himself on the PC most days, and then by the time I get on there's just too much I've missed...
But had a very productive few days, booked me and lil bro on a cheapy last minute thing to Malaga (4* half board for a very canny price!)
Bought a Vax hoover in the Argos sale (1/3 off!)
Renewed car tax online (had gone up by £15 cos of the bl00dy budget though :@)
Given lil bro a list of stuff he MUST have ready for me to pack on Thursday (so he'll have to 1) find it in his pit of a room and 2) get it washed
)
Been and got all the usual holiday stuff, antihistamines etc.
Arranged all travel docs neatly in a folder
All I actually need now is the suitcase from the loft and Euros!
Oh, thought I'd share a disaster with you all too...
Decided to make soda bread last night, so found a recipe and started weighing everything out etc...
Wasn't til I'd added the liquid to the flour I realised that the scale hadn't been set to zero when I added stuff... So instead of 2lbs of flour there were nearer 4!!!
You have never seen such a monstrous mound of dough! Weighed a tonne I swear. Looked like something from The Blob!!
We all found it funny anyway - should've taken a photo for you
Big hugs to poorly OSers! (hug)
Off to make some tea!

Well, i know i shouldnt laugh, or be pleased, but i cant help it. Had a phone call from my ex, and he told me that he has split up from his wife!!!!I am so not surprised, she is the grubby tart he left me for, they have both had affairs whilst they have been married, so i really think it couldntve happened to a nicer couple!!!! I always knew it would happen, and hated having to let my children go, so at least she will be away from them now - will be interesting to see what happens now tho, hes a bad dad at the best of times, but maybe this might give him a kick in the right direction????
Apart from that, my day has been uneventful - children have all been well behaved, weather has been beautiful, and i made a lovely lasagne for dinner (and a glass of wine, well, i had good news) mind you, feel stuffed now!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely evening,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

I made a lasagne too and we had it with garlic bread.
moggins
The very best of luck for tomorrow.
Have been looking at health food shops and was shocked at the price of elderberry extract which is supposed to be very good for colds and flu.
Explored various sites on the net and have my own recipe for the stuff.
Have just ordered a kilo of dried elderberries - and six 1lb. preserving jars from Lakeland.
Please tell me this is moneysaving! Sambucca costs about £9 for a smallish bottle and I can make about 6 litres of the stuff for under £20. Plus the jars can be reused time and time again.
All of us have been wheezing and coughing - only way DH and I can get a good night's sleep is if I sprinkle several essential oils on a hanky and breath it in.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"
