Hi everyone,
Hugs to all those who are ill.
Gingham - re bedwetting. DD used to only wet the bed when she was starting a bout of tonsillitis, she had so many that she had them taken out when she was seven and never wet the bed again.
Pink - I may not be a good example but I still miss DD every day - she went to uni 6 years ago and then went to live in London. She comes home often which I love and I also go down to see her as often as possible, we have a really close relationship and speak to each other just about every day. DS finishes Uni in a couple of months and says he will live at home for a while - I know some people would be dismayed but I'm really pleased.
We have no water today in the town because of a burst water main and it is proving to be a pain. It should be on again this afternoon thank goodness.0 -
Hello Everyone
Back at work on the late shift - finally.
Off to the theatre this evening - free!!! Taking my sis with me
Bought sarnies to work today as I actually had time to make them. Got the pension for Nan, so there's another job done.
Feeling quite tired, but I think that's the lack of motivation I'm feeling for work right now
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

Hi all,
Just received a link from Bridie
( some of you may remember her) she lives in Oz now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhqr3H97GQs
MrsMix You should be both on the road to recovery now once the anti-biotics kick in. DH is snoring next to me. If he doesn't get any better by tomorrow I'll send him to the dr's.
Been cleaning the house today and playing with the dog in the garden. Off to go and get some milk etc but will have to change my pants as I've got paw prints on these ones now.
Pink Our house is still like a revolving door, you get rid of one and another moves in.
My ideal would be all of us living in the same street but it's probably their nightmare.
OK maybe a longish street but close by. Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

afternoon!
just having a quick tea break!:D a beautiful day here and I've done a bit more gardening as well as lots of other little jobs that keep getting put off!
Later I'm doing DS2's paper round as he's out for the day in Worcester, told him he has to repay me in washing up!;)
The dogs are enjoying sunbathing in the garden!
Mrs_Mix - glad you got some antibiotics, you should soon start to feel better hopefully.
Catz - hope the dentist visit went ok.
DH calling by for a cuppa soon on his way back to the depot.
Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine
Take care xxxDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Afternoon everyone tried to come on this morning but I got distracted with work so have had to leave it till a quiet spot (work does get in the way sometimes)
Pink I am the same as snoozer I missed DD1 when she went away to uni when I was feeling really down i used to go and sit in her bedroom and feel a bit closer but we spoke most days and emailed I was just enjoying having her back after 3 years away then she moved in with her boyfriend! not too far away now, she is a regular visitor for meals! what catzine said is similar to what we did she paid her accomodation and any left she gave to us which we topped up and had it paid into her account weekly.
moggins sorry to hear about the guinea pig hope DS is ok

Back from the dentist! It was an abcess :eek:_pale_ so no wonder it was painful! I am now having root filling treatment and will need a new crown, just got to get the worse over before hols. Lots of pain but am now on anti-biotics and hoping the painkillers kick in soon. So soft food required for the next few days, now where are those soup recipes?
Mrs mix - so sorry to hear about your friend (((Hugs))) so sad for her family. Hope you and oh start to feel better soon.
OS wise I am about to watch another of my 50p from the library videos - Lost for Words, a favourite with Thora Hird and written by Deric Longden one of my favourite authors! He has written some wonderful books, many about cats! Never fails to cheer me up even when the subject is sad he writes so well you see the funny side of things.
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Afternoon everyone.
I'm back from the weekend in [strike]hell[/strike] MIL's house. The woman is certifiably insane and we detest eachother but she is good to the twins so I grin and bear it.:D Luckily her garden in 3 acres of woodland so i hid myself in a shady corner
and read my book while a family of red squirrels played in the trees.got back late last night so playing catch up today. OH decided to have a day off  today and has been getting under my feet. he then got a phonecall from a company he bought some software from on Saturday to say that the payment hadn't gone through. It was for £300 and he was very cross. I was a bit miffed too as he should have used the business account but I was confused as there should have been enough to cover £300 anyway. he accused me of overspending and went on a rant so I went to the bank to ask what all the payments pending were. Turns out he'd spent another £400 on business stuff since Friday but had forgotten. So I have spent the afternoon shuffling money about and have sorted it.:A
Sorry for the rant but if i had spent that kind of money without remembering I would be in big trouble. So i'd just like to say that the girls and I will be having HM chicken curry for tea and he can have an extra large helping of humble pie.:D he did hoover though so my stony glares have not been wasted.;)
I'm off to the garden centre in a bit as I want to brighten up the pots on the decking and we need to raise the fence in the side garden for a bit more privacy. The tourist season has started with a vengence and there is a seemingly never ending trail of people trudging up our road to look at the view. Some of them seem to find the view of me hanging out washing in my dressing gown much more interesting though. We put up shutters in the living room this year so it will at least stop them pointing in there.
My older more vicious cat is funny though. She sits on the gatepost loking cute and appealing so they come over for a stroke. She waits until they are within arms reach and attacks.:o :rotfl: Well trained eh?
Sorry for the essay, just making up for a few days away from here.
Hugs to all the poorly OSers, especially Gingham and Mrs Mix.
It will be hard when she goes Pink. It's so unfair that they leave home just when they have become more civilised and learned to talk in words of more than one syllable.:D
Enjoy the rest of your day folks

Hurrah, we have water. Will have to go and wash up everyone's cups now as I'm the only one left at work.
We're having chicken salad for tea - made with half price chicken thighs. DH won't eat them with the bone in so I've learned to bone and skin them myself (it's actually quite easy to do as I'm sure most of you know) and they are a fraction of the price of the ready boned and skinned ones.
Will have to review my food budget now DS is home again. I made a cottage pie last night expecting to have at least one meal left over fromit but he ate his share and then went back for more, so it all went. He is 6'5 and had been playing footabll so I suppose I should have expected it. Proud mum alert - he was telling me about all the meals he has cooked for himself this term, he and housemates cook everything from scratch more often than not so they are going against the trend of convenience food users.0 -
Good Afternoon All
Finished work, came home & rushed to the post office to post few ebay parcels, post some letters & pay some bills, then rushed into town, with an attempt to pay council tax & rent, only - gets to the bank and left my bank card at home. The que inside to see see an advisor was huge, so gave up and came home!
Roast chicken dinner later, dont feel like cooking now! Thankfully most of it will be using up left over veg from yesterday.
Right off to read the thread now, catch up since this morning!
Bye for now
