Morning all
Hugs to those poorly ones.
Not read the daily for a while so not sure who's doing what, where, why, when.....so hugs to those who need them too.
Groatie - If the star drops doesn't work - try bringing it to the boil with some soda crystals in it - works everytime.
Had a very productive weekend - DH got a new (to us) car, I emptied both DD's rooms of every single thing, scrubbed paintwork and washed down walls, swapped DD1's bed into DD2's room and then refilled DD2's room - DD1's room had a new laminate floor layed yesterday (aren't Dad's wonderful!!) and I started doing the cutting in painting last night. As dad was doing the floor - Mum was doing her usual, I'll just pop this washing out for you..........I've just sorted that cupboard out for you..........where's the ironing basket....... I love it when they visit.
Need to crack on and get the painting finished in there today, picked up a bed and wardrobe that I'd won on ebay - really pretty Ikea day bed for less than half price and never been used - it's immaculate :j Would like to get the main furniture back in there tonight as we go away on Wednesday.
Made a lovely pasta dish on Saturday night with chunks of chicken breast and chorizo (sp?) - in a spicy tomato sauce - was delish. Todays menu will be something a little less exotic though, sausage and mash.
Hope you all have a great day - I must go make a start on some basic housework before I pick up the paint brush."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Hi everyone. Sorry you didn't get much sleep, snowyowl. I too was awake from about 1am till 5am. I was putting hot towels on my face which was helping but every time I tried to stop the pain came straight back and kept me awake. (I have sinusitis.) Sorry you suffer from it, Pink. What a horrible thing! Astonishingly painful. (I've been under the weather for a while but the last time I was in this much pain was when I was in labour!!!)
I'm not making any plans today. I'm just going to do what I can and rest as much as I can. DS has wet the bed 3 nights running so I'm going to try to persuade him to wear a 'night nappy' again for a little while. I think it's because he doesn't feel well either. I do want to menu plan before my veg box arrives tomorrow and I've some veg to use up before the new stuff arrives so I'll try to get some cooking done. And I think we'd all like some more of Thriflady's flapjacks.
Have a good day everyone.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Morning All :hello:
Another one out of bed that doesn't need to be!!
Not really much planned for today, got doctors appt this morning then DS going to a party lunchtime. So while he gone going to walk into village to do some banking, get my glasses adjusted and pick up some bit n pieces for tea tonight (Cheese & Pot Pie).
WM on already, so will do the ironing today that I was going to do yesterday lol. Other than that think I might have a lazy day and enjoy the sunshine.
Have a great day and hugs to all that need them.

Morning!:hello:
Thanks for all the hugs! Five hours and I will be at dentist (hooray!) looking forward to the painkilling injection! Must plan some soft food for later (soup or scrambled eggs)
Breadmaker on, might start off the sc with something for oh.
Spent last night pre booking tickets for holiday activities as much cheaper done from this end. We have booked Discovery Cove so dd will be having a dolphin swim for the first time, she deserves this as she has worked really hard and come back from a rotten year, completely turned things around for herself. Can you tell we are really proud of her?
Also have the disney passes booked, Universal Studios(left that out last year) an airboat ride and the space centre for oh and myself. Thank goodness we have been saving up!
(((Hugs))) GR that sounds really painful! Hope it clears up soon. We found we had to go back to night time nappies whenever our toddlers were ill. It will save you all that bedding to wash!
Enjoy having your children around over the hols! I too used to love having them home - their childhood goes by all too quickly, make the most of it!

Morning :hello:
Goodness, I almost *never* make the first page...
Woke at a reasonable hour this morning for once, so am starting as I mean to continue, with porridge and a cuppa for breakfast (i.e. no takeaway bacon sarnie & black coffee
)
Last night's chilli was yummmm. As are the banana & honey muffins I also got around to making. Tonight's menu is coconut chicken & rice. In the meantime I am off to work - very busy this week as I have a 4-day week to meet a deadline which normally takes 5 days!
((((hugs)))) to all not feeling well.
Love Rzl xx

Gingham: Hope your feeling better soon, its a pain (litterally) getting something like that when you can't take many meds.

Tea is going to be whatever DH can rustle up theres plenty in the freezer to choice from.

good morning all you osers, hope monday finds you all well
Had a really productive weekend, spent saturday cleaning and yesterday sorting out everyones wardrobes , we all have enough clothes to last us about 100 years(a overhang from my spend spend spend days!) me and hubs have challenged each other not to buy any clothes other than underwear when needed for a whole year!lol! I have counted my shoes and i have officially 30 pairs! when did that happen!lol
Anyway todays plans are as follows
AM taking kids to ikea for breakky followed by quick look in m&s for any more sale bargains. ds3 has physio, my mums visiting
PM ironing preparing tea going to the library and taking my pooch for a nice long walk! DS1 is still grounded so will find some things for him to do!
Bye for now lots of love sharronSometimes your the dog, and sometimes your the lampost..:p0 -
Quick one today.
Electricity is going of about 9. Great, first day of holidays, and we can't even go out cos DD is potty training. I think there's some sort of maintenance work going on. I don't know what it is but we always seem to be losing water, electric something due to "maintenance". Would have been better if it'd fallen on a work day.
Never mind. Got some paint yesterday so kids and I will go out the back yard and paint the plant pots then plant them up with some sweet peas, lilies and something else whose name has escaped me.
Good luck at the dentist Catznine. I had a baddie a couple of weeks ago, another coming soon. Serves me right for not going often enough!
Gingham, I sympathise, sinusitus is awful.
Hugs to the Mixers.

Morning everyone
SnowyOwl - I hope you manage to keep your eyes open okay today, you obviously needed sleep urgently on Sunday daytime x
Pink - Hope the painting goes well. I loved the April fool that your LO played on his DAD
MrsMix - Have a restful day, hope the doctor gives DH something helpful for you both.
DonnaP - Amazon selling is fab, listing is really easy, the only trouble is it's a bit slower if the books are unpopular or really really popular (because there's loads of them listed). But if you are not in a rush to get rid of them in a set eBay auction time it's brilliant.
Pooky - Hope the painting goes well.
Hope everyone had a good weekend. I recovered from the hangover on Saturday by taking a friends dog for a long walk. Saturday night we had a birthday dinner for a friend. On Sunday we got in the garden for the first time this year and it was lovely, then met some friends at the pub in the evening. We sat outside (we thought Spring had sprung) and were determined not to freeze but ended up having to go inside due to drinks being blown away
So.. Today is my first day not doing 9 - 5. Slightly terrifying and also really exciting. I have some bits and pieces to do for the development work I'm doing, but other than that a bit of OS today, washing, cooking for tonight (and perhaps for the freezer), may plant some seeds (off to Greenfingers board to find out if I'm too late) and some cleaning.
Note to self: MUST NOT SPEND ALL DAY ON MSE.
Hugs to anyone who needs them. Have a good Monday all x x x0 -
Morning all
Hugs to all that need one.
We're not having a good day here either, DD woke me at midnight, she has an ear infection so she is off school. Then DS came in crying this morning as he'd gone out to feed his guinea pigs and found one of them had died in the night.
Luckily the Pain has said he will stay with DD today as I have an appointment with the Lone Parent adviser and I need to visit my bank as it's been three weeks and I still have no stuff through for my new bank account.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
