Good morning Old Stylers! I've been awake since 6:30 and in the garden since 7:00. It's lovely out there. Been chopping wood and *Flyladying* my woodshed. Should have plenty of fuel for next season.
Went to Brodsworth Hall, near Doncaster yesterday. Sent you a wave, Donny-gal  , as we went by! Lovely walk around the garden. They had a plant fair, and it wasd a good job that I had no money with me, otherwise I'd have spent a fortune
DH has set off to collect the hired floor sander. He'll also buy some lining paper and floor varnish.
DD has the dentist soon - too early for her, really, but it gets it out of the way.
HM pasta and spinach and ricotta for tea, with HG baked apple and custard. Planning to make a cooked brunch, too - sausage, bacon, HG eggs, mushroon, tomato, potato cakes     I won't be partaking - love this board, but it's obliterated my waistline
Off to the pictures later (as long as DH has finished the floor). We're going to Amazing Grace and the Small Penguins to Mr Bean.
Have a fab day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

moggins sorry to hear bout guinea pig, hope DD feels better soon!
Another one here who's been tossin n turning.
OH is on a later finish this week. He starts at 9.30am, so its a fight for the shower in the mornings now.
Got baby sitter arriving at 9.30am.
Not much o/s today, as I need to make the effort to pay some rent & council tax, and perhaps maybe - we should get that visit from the police!
Got some parcels to post also after work (ebay stuff)
Bye for now

Morning everyone. Hope everyone is well, hugs to those who aren't inc the littlies and anyone else who needs one, full of cold here too but that didn't stop the two monkeys getting up at 6am. Sat here yawning my head off after a night of disturbed sleep.
Going to get DP up after I have dressed the boys, see if he'll still take the boys down the woods with the dogs so I can get sitting room vacuumed (can't vacuum with DS1 in) Got a list a mile long to do, think I might pop those bananas in freezer as haven't been able to bake with them yet, can't cook for ages when I feel icky.
Still considering taking boys to cinema, will see how everyone feels later. If we go will be having a look around Metro Centre while we are there as DP needs some boots, DS1 needs trainers etc. In fact I think my 'need to buy' list is bigger than my 'need to do' list as I hate shopping
Still misty here so no idea what the day will turn out like yet, have had days where turned into lovely sunshine and some when it poured down, hopefully it'll clear soon as it looks so gloomy.
Right best go finish my coffee and dress the boys, hope you all have a good dayOne day I might be more organised...........

Morning chums ,oh dear there seems to be a few on here in need of a <<hug>>
It must be Monday morning.Where does the weeks fly to I wonder .it only feels like last week that I took the Christmas decorations down and now Easter is upon us .
I have a lovely time at the Larkfield pool yesterday with the boys ,your right natzini it is fabulous and the boy thoroughly enjoyed it .Henry (aged 5 and a half) was thrilled to learn how to float at long last. he has been trying for so long. The smallest boy Mikey (2) just couldn't stop beaming. The pool is spotless and lots of very clean changing rooms and showers ect .If any one lives in North Kent area it's well worth a trip .Not too expensive three adults and three children (didn't have to pay for the smallest one ) came to around £20 Lots of fun and very, very safe .The baby pool is almost like a warm bath.
Great place to let children let of steam. They were all worn out by the time we came out after about two hours. Good value for money I thought.
Today I am going to go to Hempsted Valley Shopping Centre to find a few bits for my forthcoming holiday.
Aussielass the fkight is around 7 hours so I am going to make sure I have a good book to get stuck into to take my mind off it.16 more days to go.
Sun is shining and the sky is blue so I shall get a line of washing out as it looks like a good drying day.Hope everyone has a good Monday and those feeling poorly perk up a bit .It's rotten feeling ill when the sun is shining so beatifully.Looks like Spring is on the way at last, take care everyone0 -
Good morning everyone :hello:
Thank you for all your positive vibes yesterday (it was you wasn't it?
) as the Tigers beat Stade Francais in the Quarter Final. The club gave us all a flag to wave, so it looked quite impressive. The unfortunate thing about the opposition is that their shirts were bright pink. The girl standing next to me, decided to shout "you great bit pansy" at them. Now, would you want to say that to a 17st hulk of a man who has just flattened an equally athletic 17st man? No.:p Let alone 15 of them
.
I've been quite productive this morning, in the fact that I am up and about. I've got dressed, but I need to have a shower shortly. I've also managed to book a hotel for when a friend and I go to a school reunion in May. Through hotels comparison, I've booked the hotel that we always wanted to stay at whilst we were at school. And it was so much cheaper than booking direct with the hotel (which is the only reason that we can afford to stay there!!!).
I feel almost virtuous!
As for the rest of the day, I'll have to pop and get a newspaper for the match report. There's also a pile of ironing that needs tackling. I'm also going to plan what major batch cooking marathon I've got to do next week and plan the ingredients......
This afternoon, I'm meeting the class teacher that I'm taking over from to be warned about various children etc.

Morning all, I'm quite new to all this but an adicted reader. Sorry to all those feeling under the weather its just what you need over the easter hols. I know easter has started I can hear screams from next doors kids in the garden, my two DD's are sat quiet watching Doctor who on demand (god send)
I'm sat in my makeover sunroom courtesy of freecycle, got a bed settee and lovely table over the weekend, I'm waiting for someone to come and pick up the 2 giant tigers I offered. Hope they have a big house.
Its freezing here, was hoping to plant out some veggies in the new dug plot, will have another coffee and contemplate the pros and cons.
Off to find earplugs now as screams are getting louder. Have a good day everyone, and hope your all feeling better soon.

Pooky, I envy you your parents....my Dad wouldn't have a clue about diy and I so wish I had my mum to help out. Good luck with your painting....hopefully mine will be finished today.
Mrs Mix, I hope the doctor will give you something to help and you'll both feel better soon.
Moggins sorry to hear about the guinea pig, I hope your ds isn’t too upset.
Happy Birthday to Master Jackie_w. :bdaycake:
Isn't it amazing how many of us were up early this morning when we didn't need to be....I suppose old habits die hard, we'll just be getting used to the later starts when they go back to school! I do like having the kids off school though, it's fun having them around, even though they make a terrible mess!
Totally off topic but something I've been thinking about recently and this seems like the best place to ask…
How do you cope when they leave home? Dd is looking at universities for next year while I'm looking at the finances and getting scared because I have no idea how we're going to afford it. That aside, I am dreading her leaving home. Is it just like when you dread them going to school and it turns out to be ok because after a while you stop worrying and enjoy the extra time to yourself? I'd be really interested in how anyone who's already been through it has managed.
Ok, back on topic, The sun is shining again and the washing is now on the line and the bread is baked. I'm working tonight...I've just been given my list of calls and it looks like I'll be busy. Tea is going to be a turkey and ham pie using one of the fillings I put in the freezer at Christmas and I might manage to squeeze in making some muffins with ds2 later today.

\Morning all,
I hope all the ones with the flu etc get well soon. DH had an awful night, coughing, wheezing etc
hence I had an awful nights sleep as well. Got up early and fired up the computer and found that XDIL had sent me a long email. She was online so we had a long, long, long chat about DGS. Bliss.
I'm still in my PJ's and have done absolutely nothing. So better get a move on. I don't want to set a bad example.
Have a great Monday. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.
