Today I received a letter from WowBuys with details to claim a refund. Here's the joke though - they ask me to email their email address mail@zappi.com.

WowBuys do not own the domain name to receive these emails!
Technically however it is possible for the owners of zappi.com to allow a third party to "use" their domain for the forwarding of emails. Has anyone successfully contacted ZappiDeals with the address mail@zappi.com?0 -
i am in the same boat - have reported to fraud and now on phone to bank to see if I can get chargeback0

I also got that letter. It seems strange to me - and to the fraud team at my credit card - that a company would require you to contact them within seven days, using an email address that they don't appear to own (emails from them are from zappideals.com, not zappi.com), and wait for them to refund you sixty days later. A quick google search for "ripoffreport wowbuys" will tell you what you need to know about the man behind this, David Phillips. He put a very similar company called Flash Incentives into liquidiation in March this year, then in May created the amazingly similar company Wowbuys. All of this is a matter of public record.
I saw the deal through B3ta and they haven't been paid for the ad that they ran.
I implore all of you to go through your bank. If you decide to let them string you along for another sixty days - a very unusual way to refund monies owed and something that any reputable company would never do - I fear that you may lose your money.0 -
Bragitup, the source of the advert in b3ta, have been in contact today with David Phillips and he wasn't aware of the erroneous email address. Apparently he is checking the mails they sent.
It would be hilarious if it were not so cynical and fraudulent. I'm half expecting Bernard Bresslaw to show up and deliver me a Kindle.0 -

Yes, it is simply incredible - and I mean that in the literal sense - that the mail contained exactly one important bit of information and he somehow got that wrong. And didn't notice until other people pointed out that he doesn't own that email.
I have just used the action fraud website to give them details, I strongly urge other victims to do the same, you can do it online and it doesn't take long. Just google "action fraud"0 -
I've had exactly the same experience. And today I just received another letter with an apology (!) and the 'correct' email address. Still the 60 days nonsense though. I already got my money back via the fraud dept at my bank and have reported them to Action Fraud. There is another thread about this on this site:

The company is not in administration by the way, I contacted a number given to me by Action Fraud who has listed companies in liquidation/administraion and the 3 businesses they operate from are not on it.
I contacted today Action Fraud and I filled in The Bank Dispute letter.
I am really happy you got your money back from the bank and really I could use some advice.
My bank sent me a response letter explaining that they are investigating this and would take 45 days to respond and 60 days to produce a refund.
What shall I do next?
Thank you in advance for your help.0 -

please dont buy any thing from
nhsdiscountsdailydeals
zappideals.
They are fake, I bought samsung S3 via this website, i waited for three months and they did not delivered the phone. I sent them mails daily and they kept on saying we r sorting it out. Finally after waiting for three months I reported to Fraud Action and they helped me to get my money back. About nhs discounts daily I have seen on their facebook pages many people like me were daily asking for the products they have ordered and when questions increased, they removed the page from Facebook. So be careful they are not delivering the products purchased before and still the website is going on.
plz inform fraud action online about them or contact wth ur bank if u want refund ur money.otherwise they wont give u anything ........
plz dnt buy any deal from them :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:0
