My last pack contained the slogan 'New Recipe', these were truly horrid!!!! In appearance, the new rice snaps are large, almost luminous and require the teeth of a horse to bite into.
Count yourself lucky. Requiring the teeth of a horse is better than finding the teeth of a horse.0 -
For someone that likes a sweet bite, on a budget, tried the value flapjack tray at 84p (approx). It's amazing for the cheap price. It has '8 portions'... or divide up into quarters on the tray and enjoy over 3 or 4 days with a coffee...PK! :money:0

Tinned Custard - very runny and very very sweet
Grated cheddar cheese - ok cold (in sandwiches), a bit greasy when melted though
Tinned tomatoes, plum and chopped - no noticeable difference to more expensive ones2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

Forgot to add in my muckle list on the page before...
Value Strawberries - £1.75 - Good for the price, depends week on week, some times needs a spot of sugar...
Value Grapes - £1.75 usually - but last week when in they are £1.45. Very good / infact incredible at £1.45 at the mo. I noticed this week the value grapes are from India instead of South Africa so maybe hence cheaper, however *checks and tries a few* taste nice!

Value chopped/diced veg mix of Carrots, turnip and onions - 0.98p - Brilliant! made a muckle pan of soup the other night and used two bags of this - was superb!PK! :money:0 -
Got the value "Weetabix" this week, I think they were around 90p. I'm yet to try them, but OH says they taste like paper, so think this may be the last time we get them :rotfl:0

I've tried the grapes, they were small and quite dry, pretty much inedible.... maybe varies from store to store....?
Other fresh fruit & veg, really can't taste any difference. Apples possibly a bit smaller but DD & DH prefer smaller apples anyway.
Sunflower oil - can't tell any difference from more expensive oil.
Crisps - not as nice as Walkers but SO much cheaper (12 bags for 68p!) and hopefully they'll last longer as not really 'moreish' like Walkers2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

I won't touch the "flame" variety of grapes with a bargepole, but find all the others more than edible. May have been poor quality or a variety you didn't like. Also I always pick over the boxes to find the longest dates, usually at the bottom or at the back.
I've just tried the Mince Beef& Onion pies- fresh not frozen- and they are very good. Much better than Asda Smartprice.0 -
