  • I buy lots of Everyday Value items. I find most things are ok tbh. I like the custard sachets which used to be 7p but I notice have just gone up to15p for some reason. The yogurts 4 for33p are lovely I think. A recent find was a frozen belly pork joint with stuffing for £3 which made a lovely midweek dinner, plenty for 3 adults.

I always buy the toilet paper, kitchen roll, aluminium foil, fish in a bag, black sacks, scourers/ sponges, tuna, noodles, which are all good value and acceptable quality.
  • Have been buying the Tesco value Rice Snaps at around 74p and would say they are as good as the top brand. However!!!!! My last pack contained the slogan 'New Recipe', these were truly horrid!!!! In appearance, the new rice snaps are large, almost luminous and require the teeth of a horse to bite into. I can only imagine that they have resourced these from a new supplier to keep prices down, but they are an inferior product. Will not be eating any more from this pack or purchasing these again.

On a more positive note, value ranges tried and tested, still OK...at this moment in time, although prices do fluctuate.

. Everyday Pasta Sauce around 39p
. Everyday Mushy Peas around 8p
. Everyday Jaffa cakes around 89p
. Everday Tinned Rice Pudding around 12p, OK for kiddies puds

Not tried the beefburgers, but I hear the horseburgers are quite nice..
  • Tried the baked beans this week and think they are almost as good as top brands. Not a fan of Mr T's value custard or yogurts myself.Stock cubes weren't great.yorkshires were good.

I buy their basic beef/horse mince, and have always found it lovely.
It's quite fatty, but i just drain the fat off after cooking anyway, so makes no difference to me. And now that everyone is too scared to buy it, i get it even cheaper- £1.60 for 750g last night :D

I have also tried, and liked:

Milk and White chocolate (LOVED the taste, but they have me awful headaches!)
    Mixed dried herbs
    Pickled onions
    Plain and SR flour
    Reduced fat Marg (for cooking)
    Tortilla chips
    Houmous
    Fabric conditioner
Double strength Orand juice, lemon juice and blackcurrant juice (49p)

Bought these at the weekend, but find them tasteless :(

I always use the batter mix (7p) always get really good results and as you only need to add an egg and water saves using milk which is more expensive :)
