I've got a day off work today, hurrah! I'll spend an hour on the list this morning before my Horsepiddle appointment, then depending what the weather does it'll be more of the same inside or tackle some more of the garden.
Ooh, this is exciting, I might get to pop on here during the day!!
Right, onwards and upwards.
Have a lovely day all, and those with easter hols littlies at home, go enjoy 'em.

Hi Flybabes :hello:
Off w**k this week with Mrs Fly :j :j . Have our own agenda (like getting the raised beds built etc.), but we'll try to keep up with as much on here as possible.
'Chelle - you put me to shame - all that and a small babba too :T :T :T
Happy flying, lovelies

morning all - have not been around much this month but thanks to pigpen i am back - house is not looking that good but am determind to get it back to scratch - however, i am not going to stress if don't get it done as will keep playing with littlies my priority and as we have been up since 4am not sure how the day will pan out
hope everyone ok - see you later0 -
Pants - littlies seem to have caught hand foot & mouth - so no socialising for us. We seem to be rather good at catching what sounds like farmyard diseases - last year was EColi - so if I get frustrated remind me to think of 6 weeks separated from DS2, 24-hour confinement in one tiny room with DS1 in hospital in strange city and something 'real' to worry about!
I think we'll be doing lots of digging today - it is so lovely outside (if still a little cold) - so wellies and muddypuddles on!Is it home time yet?0 -
Morning all, today wil be a bit of a write off for me as it is Ds1's 4th birthday, and we need to go out and do something. Struggling with something that suits 3,4,11 and 15 though.....
Like the sound of the raised beds TNG, nice thread started by Penelope Penguin over here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=416283 where you can post your before and after pictures.
I did a whole house clean Friday and Sunday so we are not too bad really, just the dailies and the never ending WM/DW to do, ironing mountain and I still haven't done anything about the over flowing toy boxes......
Happy at home - poor you, that must have been awful. The foot and mouth thing has been going round our nursery recently, as well as some delightful warty things. Famous last words but my pair just seem to get endless colds.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Like the list :j . The lounge is done on a daily basis so its clean and tidy (and toy free) but this means I can pull the sofas out and do a real deep clean!

2. TV area - clean TV, cabinet, make sure you give the digi boxes/video/dvd players etc a wipe before putting them back
3. Clean the living room window, it's summer time so let that light through! Need to do outside ones again, the rain here is filthy and makes a mess of my windows:mad:

Hall & Stairs - Did this on Friday but will do a quick flick to keep it up to scratch!1. Cobwebs - can you see any, get them dusted off

Also to do:-
S & S Bathroom
Baking with the girls
Trip to veg shop for spuds, veg & Fruit
Empty hoover & wash filters (Leave to dry overnight)
Iron Bedding & put away
Leave Littles ironing for DH to do tonight
Post package to Mum in Spain
Already done
Breakfast, made, eaten, cleaned up after
Worksurfaces S & S
Hoovered downstairs (except for lounge as furniture to be moved!)
Sort through paperwork that needs filing (think may designate this job to DH)
DH seems to have come on board this weekend (lets hope it lasts:D ) it was so nice on Saturday to come home from work and not be faced with the lunch dishes! He even had a cup of tea waiting on the side for me yesterday and he did tea:D!
Littles were at MIL yesterday (they bring them back ready for bed so we just lift them from the car straight into bed). This means I had 3 hours peace and quiet when I got home from work, I even started doing a cross-stitch again that I stared 13 years ago:eek: I will get it finished! Unfortunately we always have a bad night with the girls when they have been at his mums for the day. DD2 came into our room 5 times last night and had to be put back to bed (also 2 trips downstairs for milk). I dont think they insist she eat proper food before giving her junk (cake, ice-cream and alike) so I think it really plays havoc with her digestive system. DD1 always comes back with a cough (fair play this time she did go with one) but their house is really dusty and MIL does not hoover very often (uses one of those bex bissell things) so I think this is where the problem lies, but how do you say can you hoover your house its a dusty mess without sounding horrible???
Anyway her cough seems much better today and she did sleep through last night after I olbas oiled her, put the nose drops in and stuck the karvol plug in in. That is 4 nights on the trot she has slept in her own bed ALL night :j Very happy mummy and daddy and the easter bunny will bring her the ballet lessons she wants if it continues (please god:A )
Anyway sorry for the waffle, you probably didnt want to know any of that but there you go, just be grateful i dont know your phone numbers or i could ring you all and go on and on and on and on:p
Happy flying
PS Pigpen i know what you mean about them growing up. DD1 last term at preschool coming up. Come September she will be at primary school and DD2 will start at nursery, as she is only there 12 months will have to get her upto doing 5 days sooner than DD1 and she had almost 2 years at nursery.0 -
Welcome Chocaholic. Welcome back Scaredy Cat
TNG hope you both enjoy your week
Happyathome - hope the littlies are better soon, they've had this go round at the nursery a friend works at but never had to deal with it myself, hope you're all coping ok. Shirley - you have done really well, fancy doing mine :rotfl: Michelle - seriously I don't know where you find the time. Shell well done with the staying in bed, nothing wrong with a little 'motivation' as for dusty grandparents house, sorry have no idea how to be tactful, not something I am famous for (I tend to be a tad blunt but always honest). Bebee just read on other thread, pleased to hear your partner is better.
Well full of cold but kids ignore that and started bouncing around at 6am, so second wash load is in. Hilarious at the minute as DS2 is trying to tell puppy she needs to wipe her bum when she's been for a poo, he's got me giggling at the way he's lecturing her. Wonder if I'm that bad and he's just copying me!
Think I need some paracetamol and a coffee before I can properly kick start myself. I'm wanting to vacuum the floors rather than just sweeping and DP has mentioned last night taking kids out with dogs when he gets up so leaving that until then (can't do it when kids in if I don't want melt down central from DS1) so going to do the quiet stuff first. Just found DPs trousers I was supposed to fix behind the sofamust have fell off, I had wondered where they went. Have had to put them back in the wash as they have dog hair on then will fix them when dry.
Possibly taking kids to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at cinema later aswell as doing some shopping in the Metro Centre depending how DP is when he gets up (has cold too but you know what men are like, man flu!) so need to get it all done this morning.
Right off for the coffee, pills and start that dusting (oh and must remember to water the plants, promised my BIL one and don't want to kill it off before he gets it)
One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Morning all :hello:
Well it's now the holidays here as well, DD has started off in great fashion as she's requested a PJ's day with DVDs:j Good in a way as it will let me get caught up on the jobs that I need to get done (like cleaning the bedrooms) before Thursday when it's DD's birthday and I have family coming around. Not that the house being untidy would be a problem, but I'm houseproud
We had a rather productive weekend here. I spent Saturday afternoon in the garden (the morning was spent in bed/watching TV) and thats all sorted now with netting up on the free walls ready for sweetpeas, morning glory & garden peas (some already planted out, which I started on the windowsil) and the beds dug over ready for me to sow seeds:D OH decided to do the ironing for me while he watched King Kong...15 minutes later he came outside and declared he was going to Argos to get a new ironing board cause ours was cr*p :rotfl: So I now have a nice shiny new mesh one which cost him £19.99:D Makes a huge difference as it's wider and longer than our now old one. I can actually iron the trouser legs in one go instead of having to fold them back :T
Sunday I started to make a dent in the long term jobs so I re-stained the frontdoor (looks really good now, might give it another coat of stain just before half term, then again just before the summer to get it looking really dark and niceWill also help to hide the patches where it's slightly darker due to overlapping applications.), then I painted the back gate in Navyblue gloss. It's only been primed for erm...3 summers
It looks so much better! However the amount of paint it took now means I will be painting the exterior of the backdoor in Aubergine gloss mixed with the end of the navy  BUT that can wait. I'm not painting it unti the hotter weather arrives so I know I can shut it while I go to get DD from school. OH actually did some jobs as well - he fixed the fence, replaced the washing line (it snapped with all the bedding on it  ), bought DD's birthday pressie/card & a card for his parents & some groceries, resealed around the backdoor with sealant (after removing the old stuff), cooked tea (fried egg sandwiches  ) and bathed DD..THEN he updated money and we had a financial "meeting" where we tried to work out how we're going to pay for things and get our savings back up to what they should be
Anyways, enough rambling. Todays plan is to reclaim the kitchen & bathroom, laundry & some painting. So my list looks like this :- Dailies
- Beds
- Bathroom S&S
- Dishes
- Kitchen S&S
- Evening meal - Spaghetti Carbonara (Homemade this time!)
- Laundry x 3
- Paint Kitchen ceiling & touch up any other white emulsion
- Rehome ebay pile
- Rearrange furniture in the livingroom
- Miscellaneous other items which spring to mind as I go along :rotfl:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 - Dailies
-
This is probably going to turn out to be a stupid question. But why does it say "wipe" the sofa? Surely that wouldn't work, wouldn't it go gungy and not actually get cleaned? Wouldn't it be better to vacuum it?0
