Woohoo I have a bid on one of the bits I listed earlier... can't all be bad! I have 4 things to parcel up to post.
I have a really sore throat again!! .. must need anaesthetising with alcohol! *grin* hubby off out for a run so I'm off for a cuppa and then a nice HOT bath in my lovely lush stuff! I have a couple of new tops to choose from too, even better!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Well living rooms done, for the first time in ages stayed tidy, because we went straight out. DS2 did try dropping a wrapper on the floor and kicking it under the table just before we went out but was caught and firmly told off, no wonder my house ends up a tip!!
Found DS1s good goggles (that don't leak) while I was under furniture so he's happy.
Got a lot of the shopping list I needed while out, daft things like slippers, shorts, cleaning stuff etc etc but can I heck find a table cloth anywhere. Just fancy runners etc. I want a proper table cloth and was told it's just not fashionable grrr!! Might try ebay.
Tuesdays list is up, I have a dentist appointment tomorrow so unsure how well I'll do, I hate the dentist and have to have injections etcHaving this cold unsure if he'll do it but been waiting 2 years to get crown back on so I better go.
One day I might be more organised...........

Evening all!
I finally plucked up enough courage over the weekend to tackle the ruin that was my spare bedroom. After about 4 hours of hard work you can see the bed and all the floor. Put new bedding onto the bed, including a valance to hide all the junk underneath it. Now, unfortunately, I have the landing of doom, which is slowly turning into the kitchen of doom, and tomorrow will become the garage of doom!
Some of the [STRIKE]garbage[/STRIKE] 'essential stuff that we can't possibly get rid of' can be boxed for when we move, and some can be flung. Did manage to give away two bags full of baby clothes last week, and I'm taking 2 bin liners full to our second hand kids clothes shop tomorrow.
Having to bite the bullet and put our house up for sale with our friendly local estate agent, as we've had no interest from our private sale ads, hopefully we will be listed on Rightmove by Wednesday evening or Thursday, so hoping for loads of viewings over Easter.
As today was such a lovely day, I did some digging in the garden. Will make up for it when I've put all the doom stuff into garage and make kitchen sparkle, promise!
Happy flying tomorrow! You only get one go at life, so grab it where it hurts, shake it hard and get everything out of it you can!0 -

Good evening everyone,
Well, i started off cleaning the kitchen, before looking on the list and seeing it was living room day!!!! So, i now have a half clean kitchen, and a half clean living room!!!!
Did clean the bathroom and toilet tho, so they will only need a swish tomorrow.
Tomorrow will be, dust the living room and hall shelves - clean the kitchen floor, the downstairs toilet and hoover all of downstairs. Im sure there will be other bits, but thats all i can think of for now - if the weather is as nice as it was today, we will also be mowing the grass!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely evening,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

I've tried keeping a recipe book with copied out recipes in and folders with ones printed from the internet, but they've never been quite right. So this is my new attempt at being organised.
I use this system too - except that I write on each card a meal/recipe that we have really liked, with the recipe book page # or web reference - or even the actual recipe if it is from a pal or newspaper/magazine - and then I use the dividers of the little box file relabeled Monday - Sunday to meal plan. I can be so anally retentive about this that I also colour code lunch ideas, suppers, veggie, fish, etc, etc, etc...
I hope I haven't put you off - but I love this system....Is it home time yet?0 -
It seemed like a good idea at the time, washing the livingroom curtains and getting them line dried.. just spent a half hour ironing the *****s and rehanging. Never mind, 'tis done.
Really enjoyed this day off work lark; got lots of garden stuff done, had a mooch round Hexham, found Stardrops in PoundStretcherSaverLand (hurrah!). I'll be glad to get back to work for the rest tomorrow though.
Mermaid, I like your description of the moving pile of DOOM-had me laughing. A familiar scene but never had a word for it before.

Corrrrrrrr..... the Flying was easier today as I not only remembered the 'odd places' to clean from last week, but because it's not so dirty, it was also easier and quicker to clean this time round :T

It has just taken me 5 yes FIVE hours to get home from work due to the craziest train journey i have ever had in my life! So no way am i doing any flying now. Humph the living room has defeated me again.Millions long for immortality who don't know what to do with themselves on a rainy Sunday afternoon.0

:hello: Amazingly managed an awful lot today - despite poorly babes who when they weren't snuggled up on lap were scrapping like cartoon cats. I used the scrapping episodes to clean - so there must have been more that than cuddles. Took them to doc this afternoon - since the ecoli I'm not very confident of my own diagnostic abiities (DS#2 was 'teething' for two weeks!!), and he just confirmed the foot & mouth plague and prescribed lots of chocolate icecream. Lucky babes!
Anyway caught up on most things this evening, including own ironing, so I'm still OK for any new loads to come in, and I don't feel too desperate about tomorrow - athough the lack of human contact is wearing thin. We are very rural and don't have any neighbours who are around between 7am and 7pm - i have to drive to see another soul, so this kind of banishment has hit us hard. Maybe I could pop in here and give a wave every now and again - and share a cup of tea and a flapjack?! :hello:
