Unlocked my phone using the unlock code this morning. Calls fine but cant load any internet pages, anything else I need to change there? Im on three mobile and doesnt look like I can get 3G working on it. It only works on internet on wifi!

Also what is with the ICS software, what is wrong with the software it has and what will the difference be upgrading??

These are APN settings on 3 website (swiped from Silly Goose) if you have no internet access:

Setting up new APN settings isn’t particularly common so the area we need to work on is buried a little deeper in the handset than other settings.
    Starting from your homescreen:
Go to the main menu/applications list.
    Press Settings.
    Select Wireless and network.
    Press Mobile networks.
At this point you need to check the options Packet Data/Mobile data to make sure they’re turned on and ready to use when we have set things up. Once you’ve done that, tap on Access Point Names to get started setting up.
Adding the settings to the handset
Now we need to create a new data connection. To do this, press the Menu key and select New APN. You are now presented with a range of fields in which you can fill in the details for your mobile network data connection. Complete the fields in the list with the data below:
    Name – 3 Internet
    APN - three.co.uk
    Proxy & Port – “not set “.
    Username – “not set”
    Password – “not set”
    MMSC - http://mms.um.three.co.uk:10021/mmsc
    MMS PROXY - mms.three.co.uk
    MMS port: 8799
    MCC - 234
    MNC - 15
    Authentication type - None
APN type - Internet & MMS (If no selection available , leave blank )

I had to set my own APN setting before I could get internet access

It still wouldn't work until I was advised to delete any other existing Vodafone APN setting - deleted them all - worked fine ever since
When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?

My new g300 has just arrived (£99.99 from sainsbury).:)
Surprised to find Android 4.0.3 (ICS) installed, as i was led to believe they came with gingerbread.
    Seems ok so far.

I have successfully unlocked it using my orange sim and the keycode from Ebay link on page1, but when i try to make a call. phone says No Mobile Connection available.
Do i need a different SIM, or is it related to the PAYG plan on my SIM?

Actually, it looks like the G300 isn't as good at hanging on to a poor Orange signal as my old phone ...
Might have to switch to Vodafone :-(

  • Anyone know the setting so that when someone calls you, the phone speaks their name.

    Thank you
