Got some Power Rangers figurines in the Wigan store for DS for £2.75, there was a couple of shelves of clearance but I think most of the 'good stuff' had gone. There were a few of the Nerf guns left but DS is a bit young for those yet, dont want him shooting things at his little brother!

No lego or Playdoh things which I was hoping to find!!
  • ;) Hi guys I got the Lego star wars ewok and the other one reduced to £6 and £5 - would of really liked the superheros though;)
  • Checked Stevenage stores today -
Town Centre extra had all the lego but at full price. Some odd bits still to be found in the seasonal aisle.
Broadwater store - had some reduced toys in the main toy section but all the good stuff has gone.
  • With regards to the Sainsbury toy sale mentioned , is this online or instore only normally ?
    thanks
Thanks to all comp posters x

  • yes, you best go instore to sainsburys toy sale, which last year was in the kids october holidays.... & it is all toys that go half price, been going for the last few years & always fill my trolley, very worth it if you have kids or need to buy for kids x
  • I love the Sainsbury's half price toy sale! I got loads last year...some of it is still in the cupboard. I really don't need to go this year...but I'm sure I will. X

I've visited 5 different stores today with mixed results.

I tried Bidston Moss and found the lumi glo bracelets at £1, lumi glo necklaces at £2.25, ben 10 eggbods at £1.25 (they also had transformers style), CB HM armed forces small sets at £1.75, Zubber pet pals at £2.25, boys squinkies pack at £2.25.

I went to Chester (the city centre) and there were a few yellow SELs with empty spaces. I scanned the Cars Spy (can't remember the exact name) toys that were marked at about £12.97 and they came up at £2.75ish but decided they didn't look great (for my almost 6 year old) even for that price.

I tried Bromborough Home store and scanned lots but they all came up at normal price (lego friends cafe, lego lex vs superman, lego series 7 figures, lego dino sets, sylvanian daisy cottage, sylvanian wedding figures, lego fire plane, lego fishing boat).

The only thing I found cheap was a Cars remote control Finn(the blue one?) toy at £7 (not sure if this was enough a bargain to keep or return yet).

I went to Chester Sealand Home store and found the lego police helicopter at £2.75ish and Thundercat 20cm figure (think its the one with movable limbs there are two 20cm types) for £3.50.

Scanned lots of other bits mentioned on here with no joy including the cars london bus, lego lex vs superman, sylvanian wedding figures, lego fishing boat, lego fire plane, lego dino sets.

I tried Broughton Park and found the following stuff at the reduced price: zhufari bits, ben 10 omnatrix, Character building Dr who bits (like lego), lego police & robbers game (think it was called city alarm) normal white SEL saying £3.50, LPS moving pet at £1.50. A few empty spaces with yellow reduced SELS (including lego Lex vs Superman which I've been hunting high & low for, lego fishing boat, lego space buggy).

I also scanned the cars london bus, lego dino, lego fire plane/shuttle/gold mine but all were full price.

The best bargain though was finding the 20cm Thundercats figures with an SEL clearly stating £3.50 with a description of the item so I bought 2 and they scanned at £14.97 each....it was self scan but knowing about the DTD policy I let them overcharge me. They gave me the DTD (which was clearly stated on the wall) eventually but they tried to wriggle out of it.

    Hope that helps someone.

Edited to add: Chester Sealand were giving away a free Wenlock with every sale.

Thanks for Sam84uk. I was just debating whether I should take a trip up to Bidston Moss & Bromborough, but now I know there's nothing much worth going for
