NEW Tesco Toy Sale Started

I went to the Ab1ngdon store nr 0xford but not a lot there. I checked all the Lego and the only set reduced was the superheroes set with Spiderman. I got one for my son for Christmas and one for his friends birthday next month. There were lots more there. also got a Lego game for £3.50.
There were some dolls reduced to £4.50 and some other baby toys Vtech Alfie and Vtech phone £2.50 but mine are too old for these!
There was lots of the Lego mentioned here but all scanning at full price. Do you think it will be reduced at all?
I was really looking for the Lego Friends as my daughter wants this for Christmas. Happy to pay cost plus postage if anyone can find any.
No sign of any Olympic toys? Seems some stores are giving them away and some have hidden them all!

Got a few things in the oldh@m westwood store. Lego city police helicopter-£8, different sized kreo transformer sets-ranging between £2.25 and £5, doctor who mini sets-£2.25, Bop it game-£8, gator golf-£3.75 and lightning McQueen radio control car-£12 (SEL said 30something pounds).

Tried the larger Extra store and hardly anything was reduced-just a small number of yellow SELs but the shelves were bare. Interestingly, some of the items I got in the other oldh@m store were not reduced in this one. It's all a bit hit and miss.

Octonauts sets - £2.25 Peso & Cap. Barnacles
Bob the Builder set - £2.25
Wall Tracks - Hot wheels - Mid air madness - £7.00 (usually £29.95)
Little charlie bear bedroom set - £2.25
Rastamouse figures - £1.25 (Have most of the figures in the set too!)
Loads more....

A brilliant shopping trip!!!!

Just back from Tesco Extra Purley. Toy section just starting to be reduced today. Hope this helps someone.

I went to horwich extra store today and got the Lego police helicopter for £2.75, plenty left.

I also got a fireman Sam cycle helmet for £4.80- my son learnt to ride his bike yesterday and had been begging for a £17 one from toys r us so that was good timing!!

I also got a set of 2 postman pat minifigures for £1 and some laser light gun thing for my eldest reduced from £30 to £7 with about 2 left.

The fire plane was still full price as was charley bear and Jessie. The Lego friends set was full price too.

Leeds seacroft had nothing reduced when I was there this morning.

how do you know what items might be cheap??? is it just a case of reading the posts on this thread then scanning items in store or are the SEL marked with the low price?

picked up a few random bits in my local in cambridgeshire. nothing was marked down- but the bits i got were in random places with no 'place' on any of the shelves so i took a chance and asked them to check the price for me. got little charley bear £3, fisher price smart phone toy £2 instead of £10, a zoobles set for £3.50, a fisher price baby shape sorter toy £2.25, and the jessie for £3 something. there were several jessie's and they had normal price label which was i think about £14.99. none of the other items had a label or even a shelf space. i think its pretty random what you may find- im really pleased as all of the items i got were on my list for xmas pressies so it has saved me quite a bit . happy hunting everyone!

Got two Dino bite games yesterday reduced to £4.97 these normally retail for £19 so very pleased as two xmas presents sorted. Also got some mega blocks girls pony sets also for £1.75 from £8 these were from a big extra store. Tried a small one Tesco during the day but hardly any items.
