    It seems Virgin Central and TV Choice on demand are NOT free on all TV packages. Like Sutton Chris, (who posted above) we have also just lost access to both. Every time we try to access TV Choice on demand it says we are not subscribed.And Virgin Central just doesn't work at all, no message or anything. We are on the L tv package.

    We also had a letter from Virgin today saying that if you want both Virgin Central and TV Choice, you have to take the XL tv pack. If you don't want XL, you can have TV choice on your current pack for an extra £5 per month, but not Virgin Central. I'm really annoyed, as when it was NTL I'm sure we were getting all the On Demand stuff included in our pack price. I'm going to ring when they open, have a moan about it & see if we can get a better deal.

    Having been away for the weekend I sat down to watch Grand Designs on 4OD tonight only to find I was no longer subscribed? Seems I'm not the only one. I'm on the (old) 2 for £20 - 'L' TV, 'M' Broadband. Looking at the website, this deal no longer exists and is now £5 dearer. I cant say I'm impressed so far.

    The week of my installation they Lost (deliberate pun intended!!) Sky One which I wasnt amused about, then they stuffed up my Direct Debit, didnt bill me for ages then sent me a whacking great bill and threatened to cut me off if I didnt pay the entire balance - including installation which was meant to have been waived. There was nothing at all to suggest TV Choice on Demand for free was a promotional offer or that access to it had a finite life time. Further more, they just turn it off without advising me that the service was being suspended... What kind of service is that? What is the point of signing an 'agreement' if they can change the terms when it takes their fancy.

    Fortunately my other half is a trainee lawyer with a very well respected firm, so I have the benefit of sound legal advice. Do you all think it's worth sitting on hold to Customer Service to kick up a fuss?

    I was also robbed of the free installation and they agreed that my bill was in error by £10.Have we signed up for a minimum time?

    Standard terms are 12 months. If they are in clear breach of the 'agreement' you signed you have grounds to end the contract, but even things like dropping the Sky channels are covered by the conditions of the contract - they are pretty water tight.

    I was refunded my installation fee and the late payment fee was also waived when I rang and complained. I'm going to try my luck with them tonight re: the withdrawl of on demand services.

    My bill came today I'm on the £34.95 loyalty package for

    xl tv
    xl phone
    m bb

    Last month it said loyalty discount £28.55 this month it says loyalty discount £24.50 I wondered if they might do that to adjust because they have reduced talk unlimited from £14 to £9.95. I think they should have reduced it on the loyalty package too to be fair so the loyalty discount stayed the same

    I'm about to phone up to ask them to take off my xl tv and just have the free I just don't think its worth the extra. How much are they charging for that now? They told me a few weeks ago it was £19.95 for xl phone and m bb. I also want to try and get the cheaper mobile calls added and international because my daughters got that at no extra cost in fact shes getting half price everything. I hope they havent upped it since I called to ask how much with the free tv instead
    Thanx

    OMG I just rang them and was told if I reduce to free tv the difference will be £4.00 from £34.95 to £30.95. Last month I was told to go to free tv it would be £19.95.

    It was a woman and she went on about so much crap it was unbelievable totally trying to con me. I'm so angry I feel like I want to move now anyway I wont be ripped off.

    Back waiting again to see if a different person will be better I'm so mad

    Just wanted to add what made me the most angry is this £30.95 she offered only came after I complained because she at first told me it was going to be £49.95 and that was going down from xl tv to free, pathetic!. She told me that if I changed it I would not get the loyalty discount I'd been offered before as things had changed. That is really bad deception
    Thanx

    TV Choice on demand. Ring up and moan about how it took the sting out of loosing the Sky channels and they'll switch it back on for you for free. Apparently it was on promotion for three months?!

    bobdauilda , i dont have the talk international or mobile but i have everything else. i now have the v+ box free from monthly payment as i paid £100 upfront , so now i am paying £35.50 per month for
    Sky Sports and Movies*
    * TV Size: XL
    * V+ HD set-top box
    * Additional V set-top box
    * Phone Size: XL

    and £18.50 a month on a 1/2 price deal for 20mb (xl) broadband
    so totalling the 2 bills together makes £54 a month

    which is a very cheap deal
