What on earth are you talking about?
I am useless to a business as I have no knowledge of any business function.
Local government- so many people want to work there that I do not have a cat in hells chance of a job there.
Probably a Library, semi- technical IT job or a university is the only place where my skills might be any good.:beer:0 -

Right now you have no knowledge of anything, full stop.
You are doing a degree in Philosophy.
How does that make you the ideal candidate for a job in admin?0 -
You learn by experience.
If you are going to go through life by saying "I don't know how to do that", then you will get nowhere at all.
Have they taught you nothing at Uni?
It would seem that way.
You get out into the World and do what the rest of us had to do after Uni , you get on with it, you learn and you improve.
Our jobs weren't handed to us on a plate, you know, we had to work towards them.
I think that you are expecting someone to take pity on you because you are disabled and hand you a job on a plate.
Well, they won't do that.
You have to do it yourself.0 -

I call it being reasonable, even to be a purchasing or HR assistant they want you to have experience and working towards a professional qualification. As I am neither of those I am worthless to that Business.
My degree has taught me that I can learn new skills quickly, but employers do not want that they want the ready formed employee with business experience and semi- trained.:beer:0 -

That is just it my degree is worthless to any employer. However, I can use a computer and am generally intelligent enough to do admin work.:beer:0 -

I know a degree does not mean a magic job and nor are any of the jobs I want out of this world.
I think you are wrong that people can not get their job as loads and loads of people I know have got good good jobs from top companies, with training and all that- so it does happen.
I did not mean that you can't get a good job you enjoy, (I did eventually like many others) what I am trying to make you understand is that it can be a long hard treck in getting that job - you sometimes have to work in jobs you don't like to get to the one you do and that is called living and surviving! It seems to me that you are a person who will only do what you want to do and nothing else is/will be acceptable.
You are living with your parents with no worries about paying bills, rent/mortgage, food as other people have to - you won't end up homeless or hungry if you don't work because your parents will provide. You have the luxury that the majority of people in the real world don't have, and so you can sit back and just try for jobs you think you will like - it is not a necessity for you to work as you have back up!0 -
