He won't listen David, he says he really wants a job but will only try for a job he will be happy in and then he says he will do any job. In the middle of all this he says he is going to do a masters. He doesn't take advice, he contradicts himself, he has no idea of the real world.

People here have given him good advice in ALL his threads which are all about the same thing but he rants on and just does not take a blind bit of notice - he is living in cuckoo land!

He has not got his degree yet and he is talking about a masters - if he is not careful he won't get his degree because he should be focusing on studying for his finals!

I do know about the real world and I know at the moment I am not in a strong position job wise.

All I want is a damn half decent job to be of use to the world and to keep up with my friends-- not really big things.

How come I can not apply for a HR or purchasing assistant as they want business trained people if you are right?

I give up, I am not posting here any more.

I think that you only post for sympathy.

You are certainly not in genuine need of any help at all. You have already been given years' worth of help and guidance from folks a lot older and wiser than you but you don't want to listen to advice, you just want to moan.

Moan away, I am not interested any longer.

Just trying to make me more upset and depressed are you?

Is that what you are going to say if and when your kids can not find good jobs?

Phil, get a job in a shop or something. Surely you can do that. Get some experience while you're looking for a job that you would prefer. I think that a lack of experience is really going to go against you when applying for the kind of jobs that you are applying for.

I will do if it comes to that.

It is just so so so so frustrasting to know that all my mates will get good jobs and I am left with no job.

Phil, your reply rather suggests that you think shop work is beneath you.

Forget about the jobs that your friends have. Stop comparing yourself to them.

All my friends from 6th form went on to Uni. I didn't. I don't continuously compare myself to them in regards to jobs. I do whatever I want to do. I don't see it as a competition.

You just would not think that my mate could do an IT degree and their lecturers tell them they can expect to earn 100 pound a day with no experience. And I do a philosophy degree and I can not even get a basic job.

It is so frustrating that I almost want to pull my arm off.

I do not think shops are below me. I am no sales man, no retailer, it won't give me office skills to get a job at a uni.

I am bothered what my friends do because I do not want to look a loser, when they all have nice stuff and nice holidays I do not want to be poor and still stuck here in my room.
