ARGH! Basically 'cos they are better than you. Firstly they probably don't have such a negative attitude.

Perhaps they have the skills employers want rather than a lot of experience. Enthusiasm for the job?

Perhaps those with business and IT degrees are more in demand than a philosophy graduate.

How can they be better than me when I have far better grades, go to a better university, more life experience than them?

So really I right this degree has screwed up my life:mad:

I just do not believe it. This degree has wrecked my confidence given me depression and nearly killed me and now I have survived it to the end it has wrecked my career chances.

What I would not give to put my life back to being 18!

    You don't sound happy.
Don't write off your degree & life like that.

Surely you have got a lot of good out of your degree & time at Uni ??

When do you do your finals ??

When you chose your Philosophy degree, where did you think it would lead & did you think about career choice afterwards ??

    Finals are May.

I picked philosophy because I believed all the careers advisors who said traditional subject at a good university was the best thing. Plus, as my parents objected to me doing surveying I went off that idea.

A Degree on its own will not get you a job.
A Degree is not a passport to a good job anymore.

Have you thought where you'd be if you had not done the Degree.
You could be stuck in some unskilled, boring, menial, low pay job forever.

At least with a Degree you've got a better chance to avoid this in longterm.

If my degree and my skills are unless to an employer then I am just on the scrap heap.
