Whan Sheeeet, can be reused after washing on a low temperature wash, beware of fabric conditioner though - plays havoc with my piles...

I also do the same with panty liners as I've known them to block the drains as well.

Does anyone put panty liners down the toilet? I'm always amazed by the warnings on sanitary protection and in cubicles about not putting things down the toilet. Isn't that really obvious?? Some signs even mention nappies  I don't even understand how that would be physically possible!

I'm not amazed. Stupidity is rife. To underline my point, I present...

Use paper and then a wet wipe.

Just be careful that what you save in bog roll isn't spent on emergency rodding of drains when all those flushed wet wipes build up!

A friend of mine (first floor flat) got an overflowing bog when the chap in the flat downstairs started using wet wipes for his haemhorroids (TMI sorry! Haha!) These backed the sewers up so bad that the poo was overflowing on the first floor and breaching the manhole in the street.

If you use wet wipes. DON'T flush them!
  • I realised what the problem was some years ago. For a cure I eat a couple of sticks of raw celery most days (other vegetables are available) resulting in well formed stools and easy, complete clean up. I also eat a fairly sensible diet at mealtimes.
Even more years earlier, after a stomach upset, we carefully selected a conventional diet to suit our dog's delicate system. Clean up became easy and he used no toilet paper!

Take a gripping book into the loo with you, after reading a few chapters there will be no need for you to use any toilet paper :o

I only buy when it's 36p per roll or less. I stock up whenever there's an offer.

I always use the outside toilet by the upper lake and then send Higgins to bring me two brace of swans for the finishing off. Automatic cleansing and self sustaining - no messy paper, no pollution - the true green approach.
