Spill the beans... on how to minimise loo paper use

I know this thread is all about economy, but actually the real point is this. You can't recycle used toilet roll, so at least USE recycled toilet paper. Even Andrex (if that's the right name) now has recycled paper.0

Anthony. To counteract loose stools try increasing the solid matter in your diet by having muesli or bran flakes with your breakfast, whole grain bread, porridge, etc. Eating a high level of fruit and vegetables which have a high water content can cause loose motions unless you pack them out with some more solid foods.0

Instore have 36 for a fiver ! good quality
Lidl have some good offers as do Aldi
best tip is to use both sides !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
I need help. I eat a lot of fruit, and am elderly, and my motion is quite loose. I find I need about 9 wipes (each of 3 layers) before I am clean enough...
Hi Anthony, very brave of you to make your enquiry among this here rabble. It's great that you manage to subsist on so much fruit. Sympathy to you, anyway, your symptoms reflect a healthier diet than the great majority of people who are squeezing it out once a day with the aid of a good book. Notwithstanding MSEers suggestions such as grain-based foods (and there's little point me suggesting daily red meat, but perhaps a daily poached or boiled egg?), I think 27 sheets may be the price you pay for good health.

I don't advocate stealing from the little guy but if you know it's one of the tax avoiding, off shoring, multi-million pound corperations then I won't loose any sleep.
By that rationale, it means its ok to go into tesco and nick tins of beans off the shelf then?0 -
Must admit reading this thread I hope I'm never so skint I have to not buy toilet roll to save a few pennies and wash my bits instead. Is anyone really that skint?0

I just read the first advice post and it could lead to a VERY expensive cost rather than a saving. Unless the wet wipes are MADE TO FLUSH you should NOT use them. A plumber warned me that these are the number one causes of toilet blockage - Anything BUT a saving.0

Relates to squares used for starters...:p
Rule of thumb,
Two for a wee
Three for a bum0 -
And never ever have to use loo paper again. Plus, it'll leave you spotlessly clean, too0
