Nothing wrong with having a lie in, Jill. Make the most of it.
I started feeling a bit weird at around lunch time yesterday and finally phoned NHS direct last night. I have sinusitis. I've never had it before and I had NO idea how painful and confusing it is. I'm really dizzy and sick and my face feels like I've got a horrible bone bruise. My cheeks look like I've been over heavy on the blusher too - 2 big red patches on either side of my nose. LOL
I managed to make the leek and potato soup but couldn't get out of bed to make dinner. Had chocolate and milkshake instead. DH sorted out our toddler with something more substantial but he's not feeling well either. There's nothing like being totally run down is there!
Anyway, the leek and potato soup would be good as a slow cooker meal. Just a large leek, couple of largish potatoes, a crushed clove of garlic, couple of pints of decent veggie stock and some pepper. Then once in the bowls, a little swirl of single cream. Very yummy!
I'm hoping I can pick myself up a bit tomorrow. I've had to cancel my plans to meet some other mums for a play with the children. Ah well. The baby is only 7 weeks old. I wasn't expecting an easy time!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0
