    Good morning everyone,

well, a sunny day here too today. I've a couple of loads of washing to do, so that will be first on the list and hopefully they should all get dry. Think I might also do a bit of baking this afternoon, depending on how I feel (and how much of my cleaning I have got done)

Having gammon for dinner today - only cooked this once, so am looking forward to it (if I get it right). :) Sommerfield had a great offer on, so managed to get a roast which is more than large enough to provide dinner and probably a couple of lunches.

Smokeybabe - good to see you back: sorry your DH is still not well, hope he gets better soon *hugs*

Anniebooklover - you're so lucky having a barbecue! I don't think we're just warm enough here yet, but I'd love to have a barbecue :)

Ginghamribbon - I hope your baby slows down a bit and gives you a break!

*hugs* to all, take or leave as you please.....have a nice day all

    Morning to all.

Smokey-glad you came back I love the artwork in your posts. Hope OH improves soon and as others have said look after yourself.

Rzl-well done for phoning the police. You never know what could have happened so good for you:T

Well, DD woke at 6am and I only went to bed at 1am:eek: cos I was helping a friend pack stuff up for the small business she is starting (chocolates!!) so feeling a little worse for wear. Planning a run later to energise- I am training for the race for life-aiming to run the whole way this year but we'll see. Last years race was on the hottest day of the year and I was exhausted.

    So far-
WM on finishing soon and warm enough to hang up outside then another load to go on.
Slow cooker on with gammon for tea-trying to cook it with apple pieces so hope it tastes nice.
BM on to make the 3rd loaf since I got it on Friday. Trying a tomato and olive loaf to go with tomorrows dinner.

Need to prepare the veggies for tea so DH can cook them while I am out running using very detailed instructions:D DH and DD (3yo) will be planting a couple of plants we bought at the garden centre yesterday-once DH returns from playing golf.
    Think thats all for today
    Hugs to all

Morning all. Smoky, thinking of you all, big hugs and welcome back. Hugs to all others who need them too.

Well I've woke up full of cold, feeling ill and exceptionally grumpy so trying to stay out of the way of the kids. DP is out for the day (I need to get him up in a mo) So just me and the boys. I was going to take them out for a long walk with the dogs but with the excess laundry I have needing doing, housework and the way I feel might not be a good idea. Will see how I feel this afternoon.

Dogs infact are working themselves again. Oldest being defiant, puppy being a menace but at least she listens to me. Kids being noisy. Saying that way I'm feeling maybe it's all just normal but I've got less patience :rotfl:

Off to get DP up and make his lunch etc, ttfn everyone :) hope you all have a nice Sunday.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Hello Everyone

smokybabe so glad to see you back - hope Amie follows on soon! Hope OH gets better soon. ((((hugs)))) to you & your family!

I didnt go to bed until 2.50am, me & OH watched 2 films. "Pulse" (about a computer virus killing people) and "The Guardian" with Kevin Costner (united states coast guard)! Both very good films. Especially The Guardian. I cried at the end of that one!

Then I woke up at 6.20am, tossed & turned, then eventually got up and popped to the car boot! Picked up a brand new (with tags still on) stainless steel collander (OH broke my other one) 50p. Bargain! Also some Kicker black boots/shoes for DS (still in box - new) £3.

Came home & prepped veg for dinner, Roast Lamb today.
Will make a start on general clean through in a mo! OH just cutting the grass.

I freecycled an old handmade rabbit run on Friday, and they collected on Sat. Well - me & DLB was twitching curtains having a laugh at their expense trying to tie the run (4ft x 4ft) on top of their littla Corsa car! One chap was wearing a Black fluffy Russian type hat, and the other, (thought it was woman) looked like Scary Mary wearing a Matrix coat! I was so glad they turned up just after OH got back from Tesco's. Im very nervy about strangers coming here, especially when Im on my own! BUt they was a couple of characters which kept us amused. I know we shouldn't laugh at others expense, but Im sure you would have appreciated it, if you saw it!

    Right, best make a start
    Bye for now
    Love Emma xxx

Afternoon everyone -April Fool's day is now over ;)

It's a lovely sunny day here in Worcester, but a bit cold and blowy. My Italian friend says that if the sun shines on the palms then it won't shine on the eggs - in other words Easter day will be miserable. Maybe it only refers to the weather in Italy :D

I've just made a batch of egg-free brownies - thanks Noozan -very good too if not quite as squidgy and gooey as eggy ones.

I have a pot of barley-pea-veg broth on the go with a pile of bread crusts cut ready for croutons (will fry in some leftover bacon fat ;) )

Lasagne for supper -meat sauce from the freezer. Ice cream and choc sauce(leftover from yesterday) to follow -might serve it with a warm brownie, or is that too much ?

Made some dough in the BM for HM pizza later - do I leave it in there at room temperature or put it in the fridge till I want it later? It's sticking to the sides of the BM too:(

Got a viewing very soon - the person who came Friday - hope it stays quiet, the neighbours are all in bar one and pray they don't put them off! I don't like nice weather, it brings the people out:(

We shall be going out after they go.

Yay smoky! :j:j Welcome baaaaacccckkkk! :)

    Hello folks :hello:

Having a total rest today. The flat is clean-ish and tidy-ish and I'm fairly up to date with my work reports, so I'm spending a couple of hours online then I'll go out for a nice long walk in the sunshine.

Cooked a very nice bolognese pasta for lunch, using some organic mince I had from two days ago, peeled tomatoes, tomato puree, basil, garlic and extra virgin olive oil. Sometimes I put in a bay leaf too but I have run out. The pasta was wholemeal spaghetti. All very nutritious and fresh. :)

Tonight I'll cook some tofu - I eat a lot of the stuff because it's rich in calcium and natural oestrogens, which are a boon for us women.

Other than that, I intend to be a lazy sod for the rest of the day.

Have a gorgeous Sunday everybody! :)

So far we have 3 wees on the floor and 1 in the potty. Potty training DD started today. So we're trapped in the house for a while.

Ho hum. She has sussed that if she manages to hit the potty she gets a chocolate button. Bribery.

So not a lot here apart from cleaning up after little one.

Gingham, I remember the all day/night sessions. DS was the only one tho, DD wasn't so bad. Is it a boy thing? Or maybe cos she was no 2 she didn't have the opportunity. After 5 months she had her thumb to comfort her, so maybe that helped too.

Roast chicken for dinner, with tatties, broccoli and cauliflower and some garlic bread.

    Take care

    Smokey good to see ya.

Thriftlady - I vote you serve the brownies.
