Goodmorning everyone,

I forgot it was April Fool's day today. Not a lot happening here today. We were going to the car boot sale this morning but decided not to. Might go for a walk after lunch. I need to do my ironing and have defrosted a chook for tea tonight. Looks like it's going to be a sunny day again outside.

Smokybabe I hope they find out the cause of your DH's problems soon. Must be very worrying for you & the kids. ((((((hugs))))))

JackieO I know what you mean about flying. I'm quite ok taking off but landing really bothers me. How long a trip is it to USA?

Kyle Hope you feel better soon. Maybe Twink will come over and cook apple crumbles while you rest.

It's a lovely sunny morning, and I'm having a quick coffee before I dry my hair ready for Church. I'm on coffee duty this morning, so need to get there early to set everything up. The Church will be fuller than normal because special services always bring new people in, hope they stay for coffee and a chat afterwards:D

Time has absolutely raced round, so I must run, will try to catch up later. (((hugs)) to anyone feely poorly. Hope you didn't get caught by too many April Fools Tricks. Thankfully I don't have kids of that age anymore, and unlike JackieO my DGSs are too young yet!:D

At work yet again. Back on lates again tomorrow for a couple of weeks - and boy do I need it!

Planning on catching up on some sleep later. I'm sure my phone will ring though from someone saying they're home. How spooky they just called:eek: :rotfl:

Having my hair cut later - cheaper than going to a salon

Dinner tonight will be a jacket potato with tuna mayo. Haven't had that in ages

Not a lot of news here from me today, I came home early last night as I was so tired and ended up having the best nights sleep I've had in a long time. I slept for 9 hours straight.

It feels very strange today with no children in the house. So I'm going to get on and do a little housework and get some more washing done. It's a beautiful day so lots can go out on the line. And then I think I will veg on the sofa for a Rosemary and Thyme fest. Ex-DH brought me a whole case of Lambrini yesterday which I love and is promising to bring another case today.

I have some Lamb shanks in the freezer so I might do those for tea.

smoky - lovely to have you back. You must be incredibly worried for your OH. Remember that we're all here to give you virtual support.

Our new digital radio (or working radio!!!) is great! Yesterday afternoon, DH and I cleaned the house with the radio on in the back ground. I was able to listen to my favourite dj, Stuart Maconie and we weren't interupted like the tv does to our lives. Who would have thought that the "wireless" would change people's lives! :rotfl:

I've got to iron our rugby shirts this morning for THE MATCH this afternoon. On our way, we're popping in to see SIL and tribe. It was SIL's birthday on Thursday, so we've got her the Stuart Maconie book. Moi? Obsessed? No! SIL (and BIL :rolleyes) had a little girl in February and we've only seen her once since then, so it's time to see her again. Apparently all the baby does is sleep or "goes to the milk bar". Her little brother, our godson, isn't overly impressed with his new sister taking half of his limelight away. :rolleyes:

On our way BACK from the rugby, we're popping in to see MIL and FIL and they're going to give us dinner. Well, DH is hoping that we get fed.

I'd better go and have a shower and iron the shirts. Yes, both at the same time. Aren't I clever!? :rotfl:

Hi all. I thought I'd finally got my kitchen back - mr tru took over with seed trays, he took them outside and planted them yesterday (the seedlings, not the trays lol) but then replaced them with more trays gggrrrrrr. I was really busy yesterday, had a good clearout and clean-up and stopped my sales so I could do the figures for my tax return. I'll start selling again on friday so I have a few days off now. I've got a bit of ironing to do, have to hoover upstairs and I'll swish around the bathroom when I eventually log off here to have my shower lol.

Welcome back smokey - i hope you manages to find nearer schools, and your Oh will be better soon - hopefully they will be able to get on top of it this time xxx

Had a lie in today, which was very much needed, DD has been getting back in with me during the night, and as im a bad sleeper anyway, this has not helped!!! Will be having a word with her about it later - she had been doing so well, i just hope there isnt anything worrying her.
Nothing much planned for today - lots of washing to do, my bedding is in at the moment, and its a lovely day so i should be able to get it all dry.
Having roast lamb today for lunch, but will be doing it later, as we have just had waffles with golden syrup (yummy, made using DSs Mickey waffle maker) and hot chocolate with marshmallows - so wont be hungry for a bit!!!

So, apart from a bit more cleaning, we will be vegging out and im really looking forward to it - watching something for the weekend on BBC2 at the mo, we like that on a Sunday morning.

Bargain Rzl - imo you did the right thing re your neighbours: the woman will know that someone cares enough about her to call the police, and it sends a signal to the man that he's under scrutiny! If more people were caring enough to be a good neighbout as you are, it might prevent some situations escalating even further.

Have a good day everyone wharever you're doing. I have a friend coming for a bowl of soup and a blether at lunchtime, and the wm needs to go on, otherwise a chill-out day.

welcome back snowy hope your DH is a little better today and hospital a little nearer to finding out whats wrong hope you get on ok with the education dept we do that sort of trip but it doesnt take as long as i luckily have a car but it does shorten your day
jackie O have a fab time in NYC i took my mum there for her 70th birthday with virgin it was really good fun we had such a good time i have promised to take DD1 &2 back when DD1 is 21 and DD2 is 18
OH has taken kids to church and then everyone back here for lunch
OH is on nights so will be doing most of my OS in the eve
