thanks jiblets!
right you lot... any idea how i can incorporate scent into the wedding? i really like the idea of having something subtle and christmassey (December wedding). I've thought of scented candles but we're having lots and they're more expensive than normal pillar candles. Oil burners? But not very wedding-y are they?0 -
I think these might be your answer: red and white tealight holders at 99p They have red and white ones which would go well with your Christmas theme, hold tealights which Ikea do big bags of very cheaply at 1.49 for 100 tealights. So for 100 candles, it would cost you £100.49.
If you wanted to really do it cheaper, Ikea do packs of 4 tealight holders at 69p a pack which works out at the bargain price of 18.74 for 100 candles! Personally I would go with the latter as clear is very pretty and you can buy loads more candles! Also the good thing about these holders is that they have a lip which means that there's less risk of people actually catching themselves on normal candles. Last thing you want is a member of the wedding party going up in flames!
Then seeing as it's the heat that makes the scent, I would put a few drops of Body Shop home fragrance oils in the bottom of each holder and et voila, cheap scented candles. If I recall correctly, around Christmas time, they actually do a limited edition Christmas smelling one! Hope this helps!0 -
Could you put a few drops of essential oil onto your flowers and into your iron if you have to press some clothes? Some shops do a christmassy one.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Hi, i bought my wedding dress off a website called Princess Sparkle, Very good dresses at much cheaper prices. Mine cost £225 for an Alfred Angelo dress and when it came i was delighted with it. Its worth a check.Love a charity shop bargain0

Well I'm getting married four weeks today! It's gonna really zoom by now! If there are any happily marrieds that still keep an eye on this thread, can they let me know if there's anything I need to bear in mind for the home stretch. the dress is in being altered, the hair has been tried, the suits and rings are ready to be picked up, the transport and accomodation is arranged. Most things have now been paid for or are about to be. What might I not have thought of?
Also, my darling neice has out grown her flowergirl outfit, so careful scouring of the internet has gone out the window and we're just going to go into Cardiff on Wednesday to buy something. Any ideas for a dress for a 2/3 year old? The bridesmaids are wearing sage green.
Many thanks....Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
Yay, my favourite thing, shopping for littlies (although very bad when it's a stressful growing out of frock just before wedding shopping so I sympathise)
This is what I have found:

More pretty, plain dresses and has the one above £5 cheaper! (unsurprisingly really it's an Adams dress above!)

it's green and she does have the right size if you ask her. It's not really my cup of tea but it might be yours and it's the only green one I could find!
Right, I'm stopping now but that was fun (for me, I doubt it any fun at all for you!) to be honest I'd bung her in a plain dress and everything will be fine and everyone will look lovely :-)
Good luck, let me know what you choose :-)Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
