Good choice! How long to go now?! EEEK!!0
-
Hi,
My fiancee and I are getting married in August, and will be providing a free bar in a marquee reception for 200 (raving alcoholic!) guests. Therefore, we will need to buy LOTS of champage, wine, spirits, lager, pimms, mixers etc. Could anyone please offer advice on how to go about bulk-buying as cheaply as possible? If this includes free delivery and sale or return, all the better.
Thanks in advance.

2 and a half weeks! Unbelievable...
People keep asking me if I'm stressed, but I think it's getting easier the closer we get! The more things get ticked off the to do list the happier I am...Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -

I've ordered this dress in the end - but as it's now bought I'm not sure how to show it! It was the perfect colour, really pretty and even though it was a touch over budget, the littlun's grandparent stepped in so that she could have the perfect dress. Thanks ever so much for everyone's help. I was completely done - I'd had had enough! You lot made it so much easier!
awww cute dress
2 weeks ?! enjoy the last few weeks ,good luck for the big day

Jiblets and Emms I am so excited for you both! You both seem pretty relaxed and that's a very healthy attitude to have - make sure you enjoy these last few weeks.
Where are you both off on your honeymoon? We've booked (and almost paid for!) a 2 week carribbean cruise over Xmas and New Year and it seems a lifetime away!0 -

Exet - start with Majestic wine warehouse. They do sale or return and free glass hire.
Same for Morrisons. http://www.morrisons.co.uk/188.asp
If you're having 200 I would guess you're having a caterer? They should be able to advise you of the best amounts to buy and will be able to run the bar for you - with ice etc.
Spirits - If Morrisons / Majestic can't help you, why not ask a few friends to bring a bottle with them?
Alternatively, there are companies around (go for google) who will do a complete bar service including all drinks/glasses as well as pumps for draught drinks.
Or... it's always worth having a chat with your local pub landlord to see what he/she would do for you?
Happy planning! PinkP0 -

We both teach, so it'll be another three weeks until we actually go on honeymoon. We're off to Lily Beach Island in the Maldives for an all inclusive week ( I don't think we could have afforded two!). It's gonna be lazy bliss after a really busy year. Then we can get on with starting our lives together. Loverly juberly.Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -

Were going to Toronto for a week. Weve been before and loved it. Staying in a gorgeous four star hotel too. Really looking forward to it. The shopping there is fab too so were taking an empty suitcase yay!
