If I were in your situation my parents would have stopped me from spending time with such negative influences and instead ensured that I was up to date with my learning and homework.
ROFL. do you know what destructive means?
my friends didnt start taking drugs untill they left school, the going out on a firday night, DRIVING should have given you that clue.
as for school, 4 A's 2 b's 2c's 2d's so i didnt do so badly there! oh my parents were so horrible they forced me to get an education!!.
to give you a bigger hint i was approx 18 when they started taking drugs, i was an adult with my own mind making my own decisions, i knew my friends, i knew them before during and after they started taking drugs, and i can honestly say that the drugs didnt make them any different to when they didnt take drugs.
i held a job, my friends did on and off at the time,i nore they never stole, never caused damage distress or alarm to anyone, my parents parenting skills are spot on, i'm responsable, respefull, have a clean police record (so do my friends) and didnt get introuble with police when younger, not even a talking too, wich can not be said for most youngsters these days.
like i said tarnished with same brush, and i mostly seen this kind of thinking form narrow minded people who see's people as a drug taker automatically assume their WASTERS, theifs ETC.
even who you think are tidy forum friends could be rolling one up and smoking one as they type to you, wouyld that mean you would put them on you ignore list? if you found out that they relax with asmoke and come on here?0 -

Yeah, more likely posting from a tablet or phone which is why I do not use them for posting on here eldse mune would probvably. read likre this.
But my friends sound like her friends and her lifestyle like mine so it's no big deal. You are making a far bigger deal out of it than it actually is. At some point people have to be responsible for themselves and if you have the willpower not to get drawn into things like a sheep then it shows strength of character. I worked in a job that was very social and drug taking cocaine rife and I did not touch drugs there either.0 -
like i said narrow minded, look at my sig it explains it there i make mistakes! LOL.0

I don't seem to have any trouble.
I also don't think that associating with known 'druggies' and law-breakers shows strength of character, quite the reverse in fact.0 -

It explains why you might make some spelling mistakes (though surely you'd then use a spellchecker?) but it doesn't explain why you fail to capitalise or use correct punctuation. That comes from your lack of education, not whatever condition du jour you allegedly suffer from.0 -
It is still possible to have him assessed Seanymph - but may have to be done through GP. It sounds to me that there is something 'out of kilter' about his thought processess.
Try booking an appointment with his (and I presume, your) GP to discuss your concerns about his mental health before he is 18 and it is quite out of your control.
as for your DD - I take on board what Atrix has said - I was guilty of judging her by the company she keeps perhaps! Sorry!0 -

We are not here to mark his work! he made his point and his lack of punctuation, grammar or even education is none of our business. It's an 'Open Forum' - anyone can post. we do not have to pass a written exam to register!0 -
My youngest DD went through a stage where she would steal anything not glued down.
Money, clothes, make-up etc. All from us not outside of the home. It has taken over 4 months of talking, counselling and self esteem building to get her through it.
She felt like she wasn't good enough so why should she act good?
Children are not easy, it is a real fight sometimes to keep them on the right path. Just don't give up and do not, whatever you do take it lightly. It is a serious issue and there will be a cause.
Thankfully my youngest DD is doing great now. We just had to help her find things she could excel at and feel proud of. We then nurture this all talent all the time.
Self worth has been DD's "Cure".Life is short, smile while you still have teeth
