We have checked all our finances and had a chat about money now and in 8/9 years time. Luckily due to my spreadsheets all my outgoings are already accounted for and leaves me with £300 a month which is what I expected. Mr AJM has just under £700 a month left and seems panicky about it, all he needs to pay from that is fuel and anything he wants to buy!!! I have tried to suggest he budgets for his annual outgoings through the year but he doesn't really seem to be taking that on board at the moment. I will see how his money goes as we get to them over the next year and suggest it again.

I have told him that unless I get an extension on my contract with work I would not be able to afford to stay in this house if we can't be mortgage free by then. We have the back up plan of selling and downsizing, we may do that anyway but it would be so much better if we could be mortgage free.

I am attempting a new dish for dinner tomorrow night of bacon and squash pasta, all I need to buy is an onion :money:

I forgot to mention, while I was away Mr AJM wrapped all the Christmas presents and put the tree up meaning that I have been able to enjoy my 2 days off. Back to work in the morning...only 9 days until my holidays start :j

We have our Christmas do with work tonight at a rather nice hotel in Edinburgh. I have been organising it so the manager offered Mr AJM and I a complimentary room for the night...a free night in a 5 star hotel...ok then! I will be glad when I know everyone has arrived and are in the right part of the hotel! We are planning on going over early as Mr AJM hasn't been around the Christmas market yet this year. It s quite nice knowing we can go over and not need to worry about Christmas shopping.

Mr AJM is not very well at the moment (hoping he will be ok for tonight) so I have left him sleeping. I am very hungry but not sure I can get breakfast without waking him up, I may have to try though!

I got discharged from physio yesterday and now have a 4-6 weeks running and re-conditioning programme to follow. I need to start planning my gym sessions each week as I want to keep up some of the stretches/exercises in an attempt to prevent any other injuries. I also need to start incorporating arm weights for things we are doing with work in 3 months time. I won't be able to do anything while we are in Austria but will try and do plenty around that.

Our Christmas party was a success and enjoyed by everyone. We were shown to our complimentary room during the afternoon to find we had been put in a suite :j

I have been for my first outside run since getting injured in July, I went very slowly to make sure my knee and ankle were fine but I loved it. I nearly chickened out because of the wind and cold but I think I enjoyed it even more because I made myself go. I just need to make sure I don't try and do too much too soon now.

I am now on my Christmas holidays :j I am not feeling too well so it will give me a couple of days to get better before Christmas. Mr AJM finished at lunch so I am going to get the shopping this morning before all the school children are out. I have orders that if I don't feel up to it then he will go.

I updated my freezer inventory yesterday, need to check my cupboards and jars, meal plan and create a shopping list, go shopping and get back here for 1ish. Although that is plenty of time I normally dawdle with the inventories and planning so it will make me move my behind a bit quicker this morning.

Exercise has been going well this week, I am hoping I pick up a bit later to go for another run or there is no way that Mr AJM will let me out.

Visiting my friend and her baby this afternoon to do our Christmas card swap and have a catch up, hopefully Mr AJM will be coming with me.

Shopping done, Mr M's opened a couple of weeks ago and has cut my journey to a supermarket by at least 10 minutes. Most of my shopping list was fruit and veg so thought I would go and try theirs, I picked a couple of Christmas treats on the way round too and my shopping bill was far less than I expected! Everything is unpacked and we have some nice Christmas flowers around the house. We have all the food we need for the next 4 days, we will do the Christmas veg shop on Monday morning and should be the last food shopping trip of the year as we go away on the 28th.
