I have a dream...to be a MFW

I have transferred the equivalent of £1 a day into my OP savings account ready to move over at the end of the month and I have a nice size of £co payment coming tomorrow to move over too.
We bought all our Christmas cards for next year today, not necessarily an amazing saving but at least I am organised and it will keep me away from the shops a bit more next Christmas. I am going to try and buy a gift a month to make life easier.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Money/shopping today:
£9.77 transferred to OP account.
I have made £1.45 on mobile check ins today.
Have shopped in Primarni for the first time in years, 2 pairs of leggings and a skirt for £13.
Told Mr AJM I am getting a bit twitchy about money today as I feel life is racing past and I can't keep up with it, I feel much better now he knows. We don't really have money going anywhere it wasn't before, we are just putting money to one side each month rather than having to find large amounts when we want to book a holiday etc. It helps that he mentioned liking the idea of buying presents through the year for Christmas...I am so proud of himhe also said about us being a bit wasteful and how our parents would have done things differently. I have sown the seed for us having a go at being thrifty and re-use what we can for a month in a little while and then seeing what we can continue after that.
January has been a good month for reduction in daily interest, before it was £15 a day and now we are at £14.80 ish (hard to work out as I have had 3 figures so far this month. I am living for the day it drops below £14 which looks like it should be during July sometime, I am now hoping to make it a bit earlier.
Not done anything with our vouchers yet but we are planning on shopping in tesco tomorrow to get £20 off, we have some clubcard vouchers to use up too.
Off to look into mystery shopping now thanks to Natty's email.
In other news, I am looking at getting a sewing machine so I can make my own clothes that are different and save a bit of money. Mr AJM has said he is happy to buy a sewing machine with me on one condition...the first thing I make is a waistcoat. I made one of these for my GCSEs so that should be fine. My main plan is to working up to making a new wintercoat as I am desperate for one.
That is enough ranbling, I will be back later to continue :rotfl:MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Bedding stripped and just updated fridge inventory. Still got to update freezer and cupboards though and that will take forever
I really should do it as we eat and bring food in to the house but Mr AJM doesn't know about any of my spreadsheets and I am not sure if I ready to admit that to him yet!

I have a question for those of you who keep a food inventory, how much do you put on it? I worry I am being too ana! as I have everything on it which is why it takes so long and I just want to check if I am normal really :rotfl:

Hi AJ, I do an updated freezer list every month and a larder stock check every couple of months. I don't tend to record what's in my fridge, apart from when I know I need to use loads of things up. I had a 'use up the fridge stuff' project a few weeks before Xmas as we had loads of things in jars.
Whilst you are getting into the habit of menu planning, I wouldn't worry about whether you are being @nal or not, just do what works for you.

We cunningly have an extra meal for the month now as we only fancied sandwiches for dinner so have moved today's meal to another day. I feel really achy and rubbish so am going to just sit and start reading a new diary as I keep starting too many part way through.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Just popping in to say hi! I hope you feel a bit better tomorrow.
I was toying with the idea of entering all of my stockpile into a spreadsheet after reading the 'second purse' challenge thread today. It would be a big task, but I bet I could do it if I didn't spend so much time on here!Slow progress is better than no progress.
