Just letting you know I am still here. I have made some steady OPs but money is quite tight this month so I am waiting for the rest until the end of the month when I will see if DH will match what I have paid.
NOT VERY CHEERY SO DON'T FEEL YOU HAVE TO READ ON!!!!
I have felt very unsettled recently with the last 2 days being the worse, I honestly have felt like I have been having a meltdown but 3 days and I will have 2 weeks off and 4 days time I will be in Austria for a week's holidayHowever I have done 3 weeks worth of ironing tonight, written all the Christmas cards, chucked a lot of stuff out and have started filling out some forms that I should have done about 6 weeks ago so that may help! I just need to wrap all the Christmas presents before we go away so I don't worry about them when we get back. Going in to work for a couple of hours tomorrow morning to try and finish some things off for my holidays in the hope that I can well and truly forget about the place!!!!!!!
I have always found Christmas time the most stressful time of year (even when I didn't have to do anything), the dark nights probably don't help but only 3 days until that issue starts getting better. I need to try and start 2013 in a more positive frame of mind and leave the 2012 baggage behind as I can't change anything now.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I really should use this diary more often! Came back from holiday in Austria 2 days ago, it was strange being away for Christmas but had a lovely time and are considering doing it again next year if the prices are good.
Looking forward to the New Year starting and a new MFW challenge to get stuck in to. I need to get organised with my private tuition and make some regular bookings with my pupil, I am also expecting a young girl to get in touch for lessons and it would be nice to have some definate money to OP regularly, £225 ish a month.
According to my spreadsheet we are due to be MF Jan 2023 but I need to get this down to Aug 2022 as a minimum and July 2021 at best but I am still wishing for earlier, reading Tilly's diary has got me working on this. I am going to try a different money challenge each month and then try and stick with it to try and live as frugally as we can from our current lifestyle. Need to think which the first one will be, either remembering to turn electrical sockets off when we are not using them (a minor saving to be made here) or one based on meals, I think any of them would be easier if I am on my own but now is the time to get Mr AJM on board with my quest so he needs to work at it too. I hope this will start with him helping me to make my MFW 2012 total today.
In case I am as rubbish as ever and forget to post, Happy New Year to anyone who bothers to read my drivel xMFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Inspired by newgirly's thread I am going to make a 2013 wish list.
-Sell the clothes I sorted yesterday
-Cook 1 new thing each month (ideally each week)
-Use slow cooker more and be more inventive with it
-Monthly challenge to try and be more frugal
-spread christmas present buying over the year
-sort spare room of boxes from our move 16 months ago
-continue to OP mortgage
-become more active
-use memberships more before they run out for "free" days out
-walk more with Mr AJM
-work on batch cooking and using spare freezer/fridge
-try to meal plan/use shopping lists
-discuss money wishes more regularly with Mr AJM
I think that will do for now.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

A good list there, here's hoping you achieve it.

I am off to check out yours now as I believe you started it. I should also have put read gg's diary in full but I have to admit to being daunted by the size of it...maybe a couple of pages a day!MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
