NP Thanks for your words. It has taken a lot to come to terms with my knock back and I still have moments where I am angry/annoyed/upset but they are getting fewer now, although tomorrow will be the first time in work officially since the news came out so I may not do so well tomorrow. I need to pick myself up and try and work on my the smaller things to ensure I get it next year, if I don't then I can't face it much more.

Feeling rubbish at the mo, arrived back from the Southern Hemisphere with a terrible sore throat and now have a cough, cold and slight ear ache to go with it :( I feel bad as I can't give enough of my energy to Mr AJM but hopefully I can shift the worst of it today.

Managed to get 150 points so far today on adpoints but now the site has crashed for me and I can't get back on. I hope I still registers what I have clicked on!

Adpoints has behaved slightly better for me and I am now up to 244 but it has decided to freeze again. I only have one left to click on which is worth 14 points so obviously won't be clicking too much! I hope they add more for next week although it looks like it might take the rest of the week to get these 6 points the way it is behaving!

Can anyone please offer some advice as to how I carry on at work when I feel so disillusioned by it all? The only thing stopping from making any rash decisions is the fact I want to MF earlier than February 2030. Not happy in my mind at the mo.

  • Make a list of positives??

Decide what you need to do to get next job? Is it a course? Is it networking? Can you find someone who will help / coach you to achieve what you need to?

What areas can you change / control? What you cant you need to forget about.

Can you make plans so you have something to look forward to more short term? A holiday? A special event?

Hmm ajmoney - very difficult and sorry you feel like this :( is it work getting you down? I had a time like that and my focus was "it pays the bills, for every minute I sit here disliking it, that is possibly another £X/hour towards my next holiday/christmas/mortgage".

The other thing is make some positive movement to changing what it is you don't like - if that involves changing jobs then try and do that whilst remembering how much the company are paying you to hate your job :)

Hope things cheer up for you soon :)

Right, I have 4 days off and I really need to get organised for Christmas, despite the best of intentions I didn't do anything before I went away. I have a physio appointment at 10 which I always arrive early to so will make a list there and post when I get back. I have my first teaching lesson in years this afternoon, it was meant to be over before DH got home but we had to put it back a little so he may be here before I finish. He is such a good teacher that I was hoping I could get through one without him hearing me.

£32.78 OP today, £2.78 was an account tidy earlier today and the £30 was for the money I now have in my wallet from teaching.

The teaching went well although I hadn't realised quite how much of a beginner she was, will be seeing her again next week so a bit more to bank before the end of the month.

I think my plan with the lesson money is to OP £30 each time I teach (so long as I have the money in my account) and live of the cash in my wallet. If I have any extra left at the end of each week/month/next lesson payment then I will OP/bank that too.
